Hello Raptors! My name is Saiana Elkins. I like to spend my time watching YouTubers like Brandon Farris, Markiplier, and Jacksepticeye. I also like to watch true crime and police footage. When I’m not at home, I am spending time with my friends walking around the neighborhood or going to the park. I aspire to be in the film industry, preferably as a director or a cinematographer, and plan on going to film school in LA (where my Dad lives). I love taking pictures and want to get better at photography this year by participating in our newspaper. Before the phone ban, I would listen to music 24/7. Music has been a great comfort to me over the years, which led me to learned how to play guitar last year with Mr. Grimshaw. While I haven’t participated in any sports at Magnet, I was on a basketball team in 8th grade, and I played soccer when I was in 3rd grade. I quickly realized that I prefer to watch sports rather than play them, so instead of being on our sports teams, I come to the games to help support our players. I like to be creative and hope to bring some new things to our newspaper this year. Now for some fun facts about me! I love to eat salty or spicy things, and I essentially live off of Ramen, Takis, and Goldfish. When I was six, I was a clothing model for two days and made two thousand dollars. My dad used to ride motorcycles, and I would ride with him all the time until his bike got stolen. That’s all I have for you lovely people. I look forward to writing for you in the future!
