SCIENCE  OLYMPIAD

Despite having to re-build everything from scratch at the last minute, our Academic Raptor Team came in SECOND at the South Carolina Science Olympiad!!!

WORLD QUEST

Two Academic World Quest teams placed First and Second in the World Affairs Council of America’s Regional competition.

Team MAD Lads (Finn Hayes, Colin George, Abram Shuler, and Kabir Zaman)
took the title by an extremely narrow margin over our other entry;
The 2008 US Olympic Basketball Team (Carter Dryden, Henry Jones, Brady Smith and Ian Williams).

First class run competition.  The MAD Lads will head to Washington DC April 19th for the National Competition.

MU ALPHA THETA

Mu Alpha Theta took a group of students to the 42nd Annual Subhash Saxena High School Math Contest at Coastal Carolina University on and our team took First Place in both the Level 1 (Algebra 1/Algebra 2/Geometry) and Level 2 (Precalculus/Calculus) competitions!

For the individual competition we had a number of winners as well. For Level 1, Vanessa Nguyen took 3rd and Yidong Ye took 1st. For Level 2, Yeqing Ye took 2nd and Conner Li took 1st.
