Is diversity important to you? How do you personally define it, and how do you think we better apply it to our school?

December 2nd, SAME (Students Advocating for Multicultural Education) and The Talon (The AMHS Online Newspaper) will sponsor the “Discovering Diversity” discussion in a panel format with community members, leaders, and current AMHS students. The distinguished guests that will be serving on the panel are:

Mr. Anton Gunn, MUSC’s New Chief Diversity Officer, will moderate the conversation.

There will be two sessions held during 3B and 4B on December 2nd.

Sophomore Session: 11:45-1:00

Lunch: 1:00-1:40

Junior Session 1:45-3:00

The goal of this discussion is to help us, as a student body better embrace and understand diversity as well as to generate ideas to increase the diversity at our school in particular.
