Each year the AMHS Athletic Booster Club honors three student athletes with awards at the AMHS All Sports Athletic Banquet:

–The Heart of the Lion Scholarship Award was created in honor of Marley Lion. It is voted on by all Varsity coaches and is awarded to a senior athlete with qualities akin to Marley’s, as described by his mother, Liz Paige. The winner of this award is presented with an individual plaque and his/her name is engraved on the perpetual plaque in the gym lobby. In addition, the winner will receive a $1500 scholarship to go toward the university the student will be attending.   The scholarship is partially funded by Marley’s mother and partially funded by the AMHS Athletic Booster Club.

–The Curtis S. Hoffman Award is voted on by both JV and Varsity coaches and is awarded to the best underclassman female athlete and the best underclassman male athlete. The winners are each presented with an individual plaque and their names are engraved on the perpetual plaque in the gym lobby.

Please join us at the 2018 AMHS All Sports Athletic Banquet to honor our student athletes and coachs. The event is on May 22nd at 6pm in the school cafeteria. Tickets may be purchased until Sunday, May 20th and no tickets will be sold at the door.
