The boys finished sixth at the Porter Gaud Holiday Classic, beating Charleston Collegiate and losing to Northwood and Columbia High School. Ben Sewell represented AMHS on the All-Tournament Team, scoring about 16 points per game.

After Christmas, the girls’ team participated in the Carolina Invitational Tournament. 84 teams from all over the east coast traveled to South Carolina to take part in this prestigious tournament. A few days before break ended, the girls’ and the boys’ teams played a non-conference away game at Charleston Math & Science. Both games ended in victories, the girls winning 43-33 and the boys 79-46.
