This past weekend, AMHS Technology Student Association Leadership got the opportunity to attend Georgia TSA’s Fall Leadership Conference in Jekyll Island, Georgia, along with other state officers. Attendees included Chapter President and SCTSA State Secretary Madison Jolly, Chapter Sergeant at Arms Luke Williams, Chapter Treasurer Irie Brisacher, SCTSA State Reporter Jacob Beuk, and Chapter Representative Adam Leon.
At the conference, students got the chance to attend various STEM and leadership presentations from the University of Georgia and Georgia TSA leadership. AMHS Chapter Sergeant at Arms Luke Williams praised the event, stating that “it was a very useful and interesting way to see how other states run their TSA chapters.” Additionally, Chapter Treasurer Irie Brisacher stated that “the presentations were very enlightening and beneficial,” and more specifically that he enjoyed “[hearing] about biases in AI” from the University of Georgia presentation, as he says it relates to his Individual Research Report in AP Seminar.
Additionally, SCTSA State Officers Madison Jolly and Jacob Beuk, both AMHS seniors, gave a presentation to TSA students and advisors about their plan to implement a new drone soccer competition at the state level in 2026.
Leaving the conference, AMHS Chapter President and SCTSA State Secretary Madison Jolly stated, “On behalf of AMHS TSA and SCTSA, I would like to dearly thank Georgia TSA for inviting us to this conference. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with GATSA leaders and learn more about how to effectively lead a chapter.”
