Who is Campbell Stoklosa?
The short answer: a man, a myth, a Magnet legend. The long answer? Grab a snack. Clear your schedule and settle in.
Campbell is well known throughout the Academic Magnet halls. He is known as “Sloan’s Little Brother” or “Losa” or “Csizzy” or “Tacobell.” These are just a few of his numerous nicknames that the students of Academic Magnet chant throughout the halls. Among the ladies, Campbell is called charming, handsome, and funny. Guys would call him a stud, a class act, a prime example of what it means to be a man. In all seriousness, Campbell is a great guy!
Campbell starts on the varsity lacrosse team in the faceoff. Campbell seems in his natural habitat in that circle, like an apex predator awaiting his next prey. And according to Teddy Lorusso, “Campbell has amazing ball-handing skills.” This is coming from Teddy, who is an expert in the lacrosse ball handling field. Teddy also says, “It’s amazing how fast that boy can move his wrists on the faceoff.” According to Quinlan O’Keefe, team goal keeper, “Campbell moves with the grace of a ballerina, but has the force of an ox.” These testimonies just go to show the type of man Campbell is.
Additionally, Campbell has started on the Varsity football team all four years at Academic Magnet, even becoming the full-time starting quarterback his sophomore year before making the switch to Wide Receiver and Defensive Back his junior and senior years. Campbell was tied for first on the team last year for touchdowns and came in second for rushing yards per game and interceptions. It’s safe to say that as team captain, Campbell has had a lasting impact on the football program both statistically and through his leadership skills.
Finally, the Track and Field is blessed to have Campbell Stoklosa in its ranks. Each pedal he takes is like a testimony to mankind’s strength and endurance, undergoing hardship and cruelty but still prevailing. Zuriel says that “his athleticism is truly a feat to behold.”
Now on to Campbell’s legacy as a USLA lifeguard at the beaches of Folly, IOP, and Kiawah. As one of the two USLA lifeguards at Magnet currently, he comes from an impressive group. Parents have said that they rest easy at night knowing that if their kid is drowning, Campbell will valiantly come to the rescue.
And now for the man himself:
I asked him what his favorite moment at Academic Magnet has been so far?
“Beating Burke in football to make playoffs for the first time in ten years.”
What is your greatest accomplishment at Magnet so far?
“Growing closer to friends and creating the snailing trend.”
What is your favorite part of Magnet?
“The tight-knit community that fills the halls of Magnet.”
And now for the Would You Rather? section:
Would you rather fight a horse-sized duck or a hundred duck-sized horses?
Campbell said, “Give me both, it’ll be a nice warmup [growls cutely]”
Would you rather be able to teleport but only to bathrooms, or fly but only as fast as you can walk?
Campbell said he’d rather be able to teleport to bathrooms because he could still technically go anywhere in the world.
Would you rather burst out laughing every time someone says six and seven together or be stuck with the Borat accent the rest of your life?
Campbell said he would pick the six-seven answer because he does that anyways.
So what’s next for Campbell Stoklosa? Campbell is hoping to attend the Merchant Marine Academy to continue his academic career and then potentially join the military. Campbell plans to take on every challenge with dedication, strength, and humility.
