NFL Outlook will be your biweekly dose of NFL football, filled with hot topics, interesting stories, and expert game predictions, as well as a recap of the previous week of football. The NFL regular season began on Thursday, September 7, 2017, when the Chiefs played the defending World Champion Patriots on NBC. The Chiefs pulled off a huge upset, defeating the Patriots by a score of 42-27, with the Chiefs scoring 21 points in the 4th quarter, and the Pats scoring none.

Zeke is back and booming with a 100+ rushing game against the stingy Giant defense. With no suspension in sight, it looks like Zeke is back for good for the 2017 season. For the Giants’ team, Odell Beckham Jr. was not able to play and it looks like he will be out for a couple more weeks. The Giants proved that their offense is pedestrian without the 3rd best receiver in the league.

Tom Savage reaches his full potential in the first half against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with 0 points. He has been replaced as starter by Clemson legend Deshaun Watson. He will have his first career start in the NFL in the primetime of Thursday Night Football against the underachieving Cincinnati Bengals.

Have the Vikings found their offensive flow?  Sam Bradford has the NFL’s best quarterback rating after week one, while racking up over 300 yards and 3 TDs, leading the Vikings to a victory. Rookie running back out of FSU, Dalvin Cook, had an impressive first game, where he broke the Viking’s rookie rushing record for a first career start with 127 yards. This beat out the former record held by Adrian Peterson with 107 yards. The Vikings are my Dark House Superbowl champions for this year, under the condition that Sam Bradford stays healthy.

Jared Goff and his new head coach Sean McVay started off the season with a huge win by the score of 46-9 against the Colts. The Rams defense was dominant, while Jared Goff showed why he should have been the number one overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, even though the Colts are without their starting quarterback, Andrew Luck.

Week 2 of NFL football will be briefly covered in the next article along with week 3
