Recently I had a conversation with Sra. Colon about if there are more chillers or non-chillers in the world. In my opinion, there are four types of people in this world.
Chillers – these are the type of people you can bring with you anywhere. They’re fantastic to be around, they always bring the best vibes, and they never have beef with anyone. A chiller is a solid and dependable person you never causes any type of trouble, and is always welcome at the func’ (short for function).
We interviewed some of Magnet’s most notable chillers to learn from them firsthand what it means to be a chiller.
Our first chiller we interviewed is THE pharmacist for all chill pills; Ms. Akery. For her, being chill means bringing a sense of lightness and levity to any situation. Ms. Akery has been able to bring chillness to Magnet and she believes Magnet fosters as a sense of chillness.

Our second chiller comes in the form of William Warnock (11). William believes that being chill has, “social and philosophical aspects to it.” The dichotomy between being socially chill and philosophically chill, is that being socially chill involves interactions with other people and likeability, while being philosophically chill is about knowing what is and is not within the realm of your control.

Many of our raptors also contributed their own ideas about the composition of chillers versus non-chillers in the world. One thing we can seem to agree on is that the definition of a chiller is “one who chills.” Chillers have been defined by our raptors as people who are cool, calm, and collected. They are niche, nonchalant, laid back, and always great to be around. According to Tseyi Erenshey (10), a chiller is someone who “listens to [C]lairo and [L]aufey and drinks matcha while reading Little Women for the 100th time.” Tseyi also believes that the world is composed of a whopping 0.000000000001% chillers with the rest of the world being non-chillers.
The chiller to non-chiller ratio breakdown seems to be a point of disagreement for most Raptors. I personally believe that there will always be more chillers than non-chillers and it just depends on bringing out the inner chill in someone. I think that everyone should strive to be like the ultimate chiller; Erick Yu (12).

In a world full of chillers like Joelle Greene (9), Jacob Cowan (9), Caleb Golden (10), Foster Kennelly (10), Owen George (11), Hayden Mendenhall (11), Paul Simmons (12), Henry Cole (12), Chloe Hwang (12), there is one chiller who stands out; Erick Yu.
Erick’s chillness transcends levels we previously did not believe where even possible. To this date, I doubt if there is a single person who would call Erick Yu a non-chiller. Amidst the four types of people in this world (chillers, tweakers, haters, and NPCs), Erick encapsulates the best of the best when it comes to chillers.
Erick’s chillness comes from his ability to get along so well with anyone and everyone. His purity of heart and chillness of mind work hand in hand to create his own natural chillaxatives. In short, everyone should aim to reach Erick’s chill factor.
