Which Spiderman are you based on your star sign?

lowkey spoiler warning for No Way Home and any other movie with a Spiderman in it I guess

If you haven’t yet seen the newest addition to the Spiderman saga within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spiderman: No Way Home, I advise you stop reading here, lest you encounter spoilers (but seriously, you had a three-week break to see this movie sooo).

Marvel’s No Way Home made major callbacks to both Sam Raimi and Marc Webb’s Spiderman franchises, using some inter-dimensional mumbo-jumbo to pull these characters from their respective universes and give them new life. As a casual Marvel fan, I’m following the wide assumption that these characters from both the Spiderman and The Amazing Spiderman franchises are now under the MCU umbrella.

Though Peter Parker is canonically a Leo (August 10th), the character is embodied differently by each actor in his respective franchise. But do these varying Spidermen personalities have a further astrological connection? Because I feel like those who follow astrology and those who worship the MCU have little overlap, I decided to force the two topics together in an uncomfortable union, using my personal interpretation alone to align each Spiderman with a Zodiac sign.

Aries – Tom Holland’s Spiderman in No Way Home

Dates: March 21- April 20

Peter Parker acts rashly in this movie. He’s a bit angry and angsty, rightfully so after the events of Far From Home. Who else besides an Aries would think they could alter reality to suit their needs? While his intentions may appear selfish, this Peter does it all to do right by his friends and family, a very Aries motivation. Tom Holland’s Spiderman in No Way Home is frantic yet brave when confronted with world-shifting conflicts and centers himself and his friends over the good of the world, causing the movie’s main conflict. Yet, when dimensions collide, this Peter Parker refuses to take the easy solution to rid his world of villains. Peter’s taking of the moral high road throughout this movie is similar to Aries’ unwavering sense of self.

Taurus – Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman in Spiderman 3

Dates: April 21- May 20

Tobey Maguire in Spiderman 3 is a bit of a wreck. For the first two thirds of Spiderman 3 the hero is consumed by romantic drama with Mary Jane, somehow obsessing over their relationship while simultaneously ignoring her needs. Much like this Spiderman, Tauruses can tend to get caught up in their emotions. The Taurus bull is often too headstrong to double back to make amends on past mistakes. Still, many Tauruses take this commitment and stubbornness towards their relationships, both platonic and romantic, much like Maguire’s character in this movie.

Gemini- Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman in The Amazing Spiderman

Dates: May 21- June 20

Like Andrew Garfield’s portrayal of Spiderman in The Amazing Spiderman, Geminis are bold, charismatic, and flirtatious. Peter Parker explores his newfound powers with smug overconfidence, best exemplified by the basketball scene with his high school nemesis, Flash. Garfield’s Spiderman is a bit of a know-it-all like the snappy Gemini, but still finds time to be a total romantic when it comes to Gwen Stacy. Like a Gemini, this Peter has best mastered the secret-identity-double-life-balance out of all the Spidermen by the close of his first movie. Talk about two-faced…

Cancer- Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman in Spiderman

Dates: June 21- July 22

In the original Spiderman, Peter Parker is pretty headstrong, making several questionable decisions, though they eventually work towards his character arc. Eventually, this Peter evolves to uphold a strict sense of responsibility, taking on challenges that are not necessarily his to worry about. Not as happy-go-lucky as some of the others on this list. In a very Cancer-like fashion, this Spiderman navigates the ties between his personal and professional life with severity. Still, this Peter seeks comfort and safety for his friends and family, well-depicted in the first Green Goblin attack. He even goes to great lengths to secure cranberries for Thanksgiving! Total caring Cancer.

Leo- Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman in The Amazing Spiderman 2

Dates: July 23- August 22

I feel like this one is obvious. This Spiderman is almost overly self-assured. He’s got the girl and he’s ready to take on whatever battle comes his way. He’s witty and has a big personality, riding the high from the first TASM movie. The movie eventually takes an intense turn, but this Peter is compassionate and driven, using his characteristic energy to face Oscorp. Though he fights alone, I feel like the natural leadership that Leos are known for is pretty applicable to this Spiderman as well.

Virgo- Tom Holland’s Spiderman in Civil War

Dates: August 23- September 22

Though Tom Holland makes a very brief appearance in this movie, it’s his official introduction to the MCU and his upcoming trilogy. Peter’s a people-pleaser, eager to impress Iron Man. Though he’s a bit naive, he’s resourceful and well-intentioned. Equipped with blind innocence and ignorance, Peter still exhibits immense skill when tackling much more seasoned heroes. Much like Virgos, this Peter has a million ideas per second, likely in an attempt to feel useful.

Libra- Miles Morales in Into the Spiderverse

Dates: September 23- October 22

Miles Morales is an artist, an individual: a Libra. Much like a Libra, Miles is such a personable person; he strives for social connection with his peers and adults, though finding difficulty in his relationships with those who are too serious. He’s imaginative and strives for a peaceful solution, like many heroes do. Miles looks to both his uncle and his universe’s Peter Parker for a sense of understanding, but in true Libra fashion, he ends up on a journey of imaginative self-discovery.

Scorpio- “Bully Maguire” in Spiderman 3

Dates: October 23- November 22

Our dear emotional Scorpios are Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman when he becomes briefly possessed by the Venom symbiote in Spiderman 3. Nicknamed “Bully Maguire” by the internet, this version of Spiderman basically betrays himself by forgoing his own beliefs. He’s a cocky trickster with a terrible side bang and a mischievous smirk, I think most Scorpios have better haircuts. This side of Spiderman is mysterious and debatably less awkward than regular Spiderman in this movie. He also pulls out some killer dance moves with his newfound swagger.

Sagittarius- Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman in No Way Home

Dates: November 23- December 21

Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman in No Way Home is eager for redemption, and finds it, conquering old foes and even saving MJ Watson as a nod to his failure to catch the plummeting Gwen Stacy. He’s blunt and loud like the character in the TASM franchise that fans are familiar with, but he’s now older and possibly wiser? Hard to tell, but still very Sagittarius-esque. Peter 3 is optimistic, loyal, and a friend to all with his back cracks.

Capricorn- Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman in Spiderman 2

Dates: December 22- January 19

Tobey Maguire as Spiderman in Spiderman 2 carries a certain sense of duty (lolz) about him. He’s the responsible friend, evident when he uses his quick reflexes and instincts to attempt to stop Doc Ock’s project from going off the rails. Like the Capricorn, he is centered and disciplined, but this all work/no play attitude does push MJ away. When he feels like he can’t accomplish the massive task ahead, Peter does ditch his hero persona for a stretch, dealing with outside pressure like a Capricorn who has, again, bitten off more than he can chew.

Aquarius- Peter B. Parker in Into the Spiderverse

Dates: January 20- February 19

Peter B. Parker from Into the Spiderverse is moody and in a bit of a rough patch in his own universe. He isn’t easily convinced to help Miles until it benefits him as well, but eventually grows to like him. He’s disconnected from both his emotions and his surroundings and this spacey avoidance is pretty on-brand for an Aquarius. Both also feel a lonely sense of outcast-ish-ness. Peter B. Parker is also clever and driven, two traits that perfectly embody an Aquarius.

Pisces- Tom Holland’s Spiderman in Homecoming

Dates: February 20- March 20

Spiderman in Homecoming is stuck between two worlds, the Avengers (though not yet an official member) and his role as the friendly neighborhood Spiderman. He’s shown audiences that he’s skilled and tactful, but can still be childish and clingy. Peter’s a little fantastical when it comes to romance, the movie is about homecoming after all. Like many Piscean, this Peter is always anticipating a chance to prove his skill and competence, making every moment count.
