You wake up, after going to bed at 8 PM because you had no homework.
It is a Friday, early release day. You have no tests/quizzes.
Your friends text you to meet at Chick-Fil-A before school.
You go to get ready. Your hair is cooperating and the outfit you planned last night matches perfectly.
The weather is good, warm and sunny with a slight breeze.
You go downstairs and find your bag packed and your computer fully charged for the day.
You walk to your car and remember you got a full tank of gas last night.
Your carplay immediately connects and the playlist is hitting like never before, no songs are being skipped.
You drive to Chick-Fil-A with no traffic, and you make every green light.
You see your friends and there is no line to order, and your parents card pays for this breakfast.
You order a 4 count chicken mini meal with hash browns and a vanilla cold brew, made to perfection.
The booth is open and waiting for you and your friends to sit and enjoy.
You start driving to school and there is no train to stop you, along with all the other cars driving at a good speed. To top that off, you make it into the left turning lane by CVS with no problem.
You roll into the parking lot without having to wait for any of the underclassmen to cross the road, and today, you remember your id.
First block, you walk in and find a sub. Free seating with all your friends!!! You spend only 20 minutes on the assignment and spend the rest of the block chatting about tonight’s plans.
Second block, you have a review day for your test the next week. The teacher pulls up Kahoot and Blooket for the entire class to play and you end up winning, gaining bonus points.
Between second and third block, you hit up guidance and find they have stocked the entire snack bin.
Third block, your teacher tells the class that we are watching the movie on the play we just read in English class. Even better, people brought snacks.
The lunch bell rings, and you walk in the cafeteria to see that the lunch is Grilled Cheese. The lines are short, and your toast is perfectly crisp and buttery. You sit outside with your friends and feel the warmth of the coming summer, but you never break a sweat.
Fourth block, it is a group project and the randomized groups end up being all of your class friends.
1:30 and the bell is ringing! You walk slowly and calmly to your car, not worried about parking lot traffic.
All of your friends make plans to eat lunch at the Chipotle by school. You mobile order on the way and it is sitting ready right when you get there. The chips are so good and you ended up getting a free guac in the app.
After Chipotle, you go back and take an afterschool nap before getting ready. The nap revives you from the long week, and you have no headache when you wake up. You find your crisp, ice water right beside you.
You and your friends get changed and all pile into the car together. You are on the way to your favorite house to hangout at, and the entire groupchat has liked the message about coming.
When you get there, a fire is already lit with marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers supplied. You and your friends sit around laughing and having “remember when” convos.
The night slowly comes to an end and you fall asleep with no problem, along with no plans tomorrow morning to wake you up.
What a perfect day.
