Fall fashion and lifestyle is here! The first day of fall was September 22, so let’s get the season rolling! Sophia and I are here to bring all the fall fashion and lifestyle trends that have been seen around Magnet. If you are looking for some new inspo for your closet or just curious about the new, hot trends of this season, then keep reading!
First up, we have the infamous PARKE sweatshirts. Now if you have any form of social media, then you have most definitely seen these popular sweatshirts on your feed. They are most known for their “Mockneck” sweatshirts, selling out minutes after they drop. If you are looking for an AMHS raptor review, then junior Emma Miars is the girl to speak with. Sophia and I have been with her first hand when ordering yet another sweatshirt. Though they may seem a little pricey for what they appear to be, they are very comfortable and perfect for the (somewhat) cold weather in Charleston. If sweatshirts aren’t quite your thing, their PARKE claw clip has also been a popular item this season. Maybe you can get both and rock an entire PARKE sponsored outfit!
Next up on our list are the Rope Style HART necklaces. Now speaking from personal experience, I would 100% recommend getting one of these necklaces. I have found them perfect for layering but also so easy to wear on their own. Whether you want a longer chain or to double wrap the rope around your neck for a more unique style, this necklace serves the perfect fall look. The rope itself is not expensive at all, very suitable for anyone shopping for an affordable, yet chic piece of jewelry. Although, some have added charms from HART onto the rope and I have to say, I love it! The charms look so pretty with it, whether you grabbed a gold, silver, or colored rope. Like I said, this is the perfect necklace for layering as you can truly style it to your personal liking.
Coming up next on our fall guide for style, these Birkenstock Clogs have been IN since last year! With the weather starting to cool down, Sophia and I have been noticing these shoes resurfacing again, and we are glad! I must admit, these took a while to grow on me. The lighter colors of these shoes are just perfect for fall. You can pair them with a cute pair of jeans and a sweater, but also have the possibility of dressing them down with just a sweatshirt (try PARKE) and leggings. Our good friend Sam Abney has a few opinions on these shoes, all leading to his love for them. We have seen Sam in various locations wearing his clogs, whether at school or on the weekends. Do not be like Sam and leave them in a random backyard! While I like the lighter colors better, the darker colors do give off more “Fall” vibes. Either way, these are fashionable shoes that we hope to see other Raptors wearing around campus!
If you’ve ever been downtown, you’ve surely seen the vast number of girls flocking towards the highly praised, 3-story Brandy Melville. Offering cute and affordable basics, Brandy is known for its comfortable clothes and all-year round options. As it pertains to the fall season and crisp air, Brandy is revered for its variety of sweatpants. With multiple styles, seasonal colors, and a consistent $35 price tag, these sweatpants can be worn for school, lounging around, or a casual hangout with friends. Not only are they oftentimes seen being worn in the fall, many girls tend to wear them during all seasons. You can never be too comfortable, and it’s always freezing inside of Magne, so pair these with a hoodie, your favorite tank top, or a basic tee and you’ve got the perfect, casual fall outfit!
Next up, we have the perfect, “cute-but-casual” cardigan to dress up any outfit while staying warm in cooler weather. The cardigan sweater has existed for a long time; however, recently it has emerged as a popular clothing item on everyone’s fall wishlist. Personally, I have been looking forward to the fall weather because it means bringing back a comfy pair of jeans with a cozy cardigan on top (of course adding my UGG Tasman Slippers to complete the outfit). The most popular color of cardigan seems to be a heathered grey because it is a neutral color yet still allows a person to wear a black or white top underneath. On the other hand, cardigans come in multiple colors, styles, and patterns. Whether you want it oversized, cropped, fluffy, or wool, there is surely a brand that has the perfect cardigan for you. Some of my favorite go-to’s for cardigan shopping are Abercrombie & Fitch, Brandy Melville, Altar’d State, and Hollister. The highlight of this item is not only its variety, but also its ability to be dressed up or worn casually. Overall, a cardigan offers a stylish yet simple layer to your wardrobe, and it will surely aid in evading the sickness the cold brings!
Finally, one of my personal favorites, the faux leather skirt. While the other items are often included in more casual fall outfits, the leather skirt is most commonly seen dressed up with a sweater or long sleeve top, boots, and maybe even a pair of stockings as another layer of warmth! Although a mini skirt during colder weather may strike some as a confusing choice, the leather mini skirt is a classic choice for a cute fall outfit. Not to mention, leather itself is a popular material most worn in the fall. A black mini skirt can be paired with just about any color and style of top, making it a versatile piece. This means that it can be a staple in anyone’s wardrobe, easily being paired with a top for dinner, a night out, or simply a “look good, feel good” outfit.
In conclusion, colder weather and new seasons bring in a whole different demographic of fashion and wardrobe. However, it is important to note that while some like to stay up to date with the popular trends and dress in accordance to such, others have their own sense of style, and it is amazing as well! The most important thing for dressing in the fall is that you are comfortable with your style and stay warm when the temperature drops!
