Team Preview: The upcoming season for the Raptors is projected to be a fun and entertaining one to watch. The magic and skill this team brings to the table cannot be understated. Teams should be scared for home games in the Birdcage surrounded by our loyal and passionate fanbase. Many teams report difficulty hearing snap counts, which has resulted in an overwhelming amount of false starts from the season prior.
The team is led by seasoned quarterback Owen George, known for his accuracy and composure in the pocket. He is supported by a strong and disciplined offensive line, highlighted by Logan Simon and Will Granata. Our receiving core may be the most electric part of our offense, with team captain Tyler Perez, who is known for his shiftiness. The defense is led by long-term team leader Campbell Stoklosa, who is recognized for his versatility and communication abilities.

Patrick Henry
Magnet’s offense will shine bright in the game. We predict offensive star Tyler Perez will reach the end zone several times, but unfortunately, it might not be enough to overcome a more seasoned and experienced Patrick Henry Academy. The key will be stopping monstrous quarterback talent Rylin Brunson, who is known for his versatility and toughness. Magnet will try to continue its win streak but faces stiff competition.
Final Prediction: Patrick Henry wins 30-13
Military Magnet Academy
We predict Magnet will be outstanding in their home opener. Freshman Jonathan Boone and Simms Willard will look to make strong contributions in their debut season, but Military Magnet is no easy opponent. Led by quarterback Dontavious “ who ate my bagel,” Johnson Military Magnet strives to make an impact through their running game. Nevertheless, under bold and tall senior leader, Campbell Stoklosa, Magnet powers through for the fans.
Final Prediction: Magnet wins 15-12
Stall
Stall will be tricky as Magnet seeks its second win in a row against the 5A powerhouse. Magnet veteran Ellison Ryan will be a key to victory if he can get healthy in time for the game. Stall has a strong offensive line centered by senior Dewayne Wigfall, a menacing opponent to say the least. We predict Magnet’s strong home fans, especially spirit leader Benett Bair, will empower our team to victory!
Final prediction: Magnet wins 20-10
Baptist Hill
Baptist Hill represents a crucial point during Academic Magnet’s schedule. Experts suggest this game will be a toss-up, but its location in the roaring D4 stadium may be pivotal. 6’4 receiver and Captain Martrell Wright could also lead the Bobcats to victory. All eyes will be on the same, but we precut a dominant performance from Ayush Bansod solidifies the game for Academic Magnet.
Final prediction: Magnet wins 23-20
St. John’s
St. John’s hopefully should be an easy win for our Raptors. With a previous record of 0-10 and a previous loss to our Raptors, we should be able to get to business, secure the win, and get out. A large part of St. John’s offense has to include 6’2”, 333 lb senior reclass guard Z’aire LaBoard-Frasier, who has been known to be a pancake machine as Fruzz wide receiver Trequan McFadden and linebacker Aiden Abdur-Rahim call him. Overall, they will not have enough firepower to overcome our oh-so-mighty Raptors.
Final Prediction: Magnet wins 72-0
Andrews: Things get sticky at this stretch of the season as the Andrews Yellowjackets pose a threat to our Raptors. Quarterback Brandon Cumbee has transformed into the heart and soul of the Yellowjackets offense, slicing through defenses one by one. Still, we hope the integrity and grit of our squad can even the game out a little. Nevertheless, Andrews are the heavy favorites.
Final Prediction: Andrews wins 32-24
Timberland: Oh no. This is by far the Raptors’ greatest threat. The “Tenacious Twenty-Two” as the starters of Timberland have been dubbed have wreaked havoc in past seasons. The roster is loaded with Avengers-level talent. Three-star Florida linemen Desmond “Pancake” Green pose a serious threat. Additionally, composite five-star Jordan “Mini Megatron” Gorham should be taken lightly. Our gritty, sneaky, athletic defensive back group will do its best to limit Gorham’s production. But as they say, you can’t stop rain. Unfortunately, we do not predict our Raptors to prevail in this game.
Final Prediction: Timberland wins 52-3
Philip Simmons: Philip Simmons is known to be a well-rounded and dangerous team. Magnet seeks to rally back from the Timberland game to regain previous momentum. This will no doubt be a tough game, but Magnet’s dynamic run game may provide some avenues for success. Philip will most likely go into the game as a favorite.
Final Prediction: Philip Simmons 30-10
Woodland: Another difficult game for the Raptors. In the second-to-last game of the year, the Raptors face a difficult team in Woodland. Star quarterback Jervaze “The Grim Reaper” Salley looks to dominate the offense for Woodland. Unfortunately, the Raptors’ star-studded defensive secondary will not be able to keep this senior quarterback, and the Raptors fall again. Hoping to bounce back in the finale of the season.
Final Prediction: Woodland 35-7
Burke: This will inevitably be an exciting regular season finale. Burke is known as a team of hard workers, as they are frequently seen practicing in harsh conditions. However, the Raptor team is no stranger to the grind. We expect all the senior leaders to give it their all in one of their last games. Considering there might be playoff implications on the line, we predict Magnet will come out on top.
Final Prediction: Magnet 6-3
End of Season Predictions
