Top 10 Events that Affect Lebron’s Legacy Pt.2

You Are My Sunshine, My Only Sunshine…

Still just a young kid from Akron, LeBron James’s stardom was apparent since his first minutes at St. V’s. From sixteen years of age, anyone familiar with his game could see James was a future great in the making. LeBron has had multiple iconic moments and quotes in his decorated twenty-one-year career. With all the hilarious moments, some moments have given Lebron as big of a hate club as his fan club. Such incidents have once again led my associate Wyatt Mahoney and myself to research the age-old question:

How does this affect LeBron’s legacy?

“Boy oh boy, LeBron where do I even begin? My heart swells with admiration for you, my beloved LeBron, my ultimate basketball icon. Your unparalleled skills on the court leave me in awe every time you grace the hardwood. From your breathtaking dunks to your pinpoint passes, you redefine the essence of basketball greatness. Beyond your athletic prowess, your leadership both on and off the court inspires millions, including myself. Your commitment to excellence, coupled with your philanthropic endeavors, showcases the depth of your character. Lebron, you’re not just a player to me; you’re a beacon of hope, resilience, and passion. My love for you transcends the game, forever etched in the annals of my heart.”- CJ Moskos

You are my sunshine LeBonBon

The song, “You Are My Sunshine” by Cristina Perri was paired with a photo of Lebron James on a TikTok tok and it exploded into a viral meme where people would comment paragraphs on their glorious king LeBron. This turned into different variations including LeGorp, LeEvil, LeBomboclat, LeDrill, LeVintage, LeJazz, LeBollywood, LeIrish, LeChoir, LeCowboy, LeWaluigi, and many many more. This trend praising LeBron is the greatest level of glazing I’ve ever seen.

Celtics Stars Dunking on Bron

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown’s memorable dunks on LeBron James exemplified their electrifying athleticism and skill on the court. Tatum showed LeBron what a 19-year-old can do when he rose up and put Bron Bron on a poster during his time with the Cavs. This led Marcus Morris to get in LeBron’s face taunting him for Tatum putting it on his head. A few years down the line, Jaylen Brown showed why the Celtics are greater than the Lakers when he took his chances with the King himself. This negatively affected LeBron’s legacy as these moments were incredibly embarrassing for him.

Adin Ross

Chaotic streamer Adin Ross blew up from his funny antics and NBA2K gameplay live streams. Through NBA2K, Ross started playing with Bronny James, LeBron’s son. Adin was a huge LeBron fan and was constantly wanting to talk to LeBron through Bronny. One day this became a reality and while playing 2K’s Ante-Up game mode, LeBron and Adin had a short but iconic conversation. This did not positively nor negatively affect LeBron’s legacy.

We’re Done With the 90s

Started by TikToker Ben Houselog, the “We’re Done With the 90’s” movement involves the agenda that

players before the 2000s were nowhere near as good as today’s players. This involves the argument that Michael Jordan had “no left hand” and was purely a one-dimensional basketball player. This created a divide between the newer basketball fans and the “oldheads”.  This is very impactful for LeBron’s legacy as it helps his case in the GOAT conversation. This is detrimental to Jordan’s legacy giving LeBron a huge boost.

In 2013, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration investigated LeBron James as part of a federal Biogenesis probe due to the potential involvement of his associates but James was cleared of any wrongdoing. I guess LeBron’s jaw-dropping physical stature was too chiseled for haters to believe he is natty, but he is federally and scientifically proven Natty. I don’t want to hear any mention of this in talks about his legacy.

LeBoston Ownership

LeBron has been vastly successful in the playoffs in his illustrious career. One of the teams he has had the most success against is the Boston Celtics. LeBron sent home the C’s in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2018 after only losing to them twice in the postseason. Some may joke that figuratively, LeBron is an owner of Beantown, but that is now literal as well. LeBron and his friend Maverick Carter became the first black partial owners of Fenway Sports Group who own and manage the Boston Red Sox. All Red Sox fans hate this as we already do not like the ownership, and now the NBA player we hate the most has joined it.

In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue and discovered the already inhabited land of the Americas. Over time these colonies became states and states became the United States of America. One of the states we acquired over time was the state of Ohio. Who was born in Ohio? Exactly, LeBron James was born in Ohio. Just a young kid from Akron, he would not be here if it was not for THE colonist, Cristopher Columbus. While yes, lots of wrongdoing was done by Columbus, tarnishing his name and giving him a bad image. However, these actions are the reason we have LeBron James. This is why LeBron even has a legacy, so I’d say it is very impactful on Lebron’s legacy.

Bronny and Bryce

Ever since LeBron had two sons, everyone has expected great things for them. Their AAU games started to be closely watched from elementary school on. Living in Cleveland, every AAU tournament I hoped his sons would be playing there. Bronny has reached the D1 college level, playing at USC but somehow still underwhelming people. Just want to point out that Jordan’s sons didn’t make it past the college level so if his sons get drafted he has another point of supremacy over MJ. Will Lebron’s optimal genetics make yet another argument for his GOAT status?

LeNoah Lyles

After Noah Lyles’s controversial comments about how championship-winning teams in the United States should not call themselves “World Champions”, Team USA took it personally. This year’s USA team is being named “The Avengers” The guards include Stephen Curry, Jalen Brunson, Jrue Holiday, Devin Booker, Anthony Edwards, and Tyrese Haliburton. The forwards consist of LeBron, Jayson Tatum, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, and Anthony Davis while the centers are Bam Adebayo and Joel Embiid. This team is far better than any other team on paper giving them a huge advantage going into the Olympics. These superstars look to shut down Noah Lyles’s salty comments. If team USA completes this mission, it will be major for his legacy.

LeBron James’s silencer celebration has become an iconic gesture in the basketball world, instantly recognizable to fans across the globe. Originating from his days with the Miami Heat, where he would metaphorically silence opposing crowds with his clutch plays, it has evolved into a symbol of dominance and composure under pressure. With a simple motion of his hand to his mouth, James sends a powerful message to his adversaries: he’s in control, and he’s here to win. The silencer celebration encapsulates James’s ability to rise to the occasion and quiet any doubters with his unparalleled skill and determination on the court.
