The world with which we live is one that is negative. Straight up Negative. You watch the news, and you are hit with straight negativity. I am here to attempt to change that.
In light of recent events where the news spins events in two different ways it becomes extremely difficult to find fact from fiction. So, as the second edition of this article, more positive news will be covered to reignite hope.
Whether it be a funny light hearted story or a cool coincidence that results in good vibes, I am going to report current positive events in the world. I hope to bring the same feeling you get when you roll down the windows as you drive home from the last day of school. The first bit of good news is the European Union has passed a major “tipping point” in that they are now producing more clean energy than energy through fossil fuels. This major milestone is thanks to a major rise in the production of energy using wind and solar, generating 30.1% of electricity in 2025, this production through green sources outproduced fossil fuels by 1.1%, which generated 29.0% of electricity in 2025. This level of energy being produced using green resources is extremely exciting for the world as we work to reduce the rate of global warming.

The next bit of fun news I get to tell you is that WE ARE GOING BACK TO THE MOON!?!?! NASA (.gov) is targeting a launch of the Artemis II mission no earlier than February 6, 2026 of which will put humans into lunar orbit not yet on the moon. For a period of 10 days, the team will conduct tests of Orion’s capabilities and systems, including life-support, communications, and more, and validate the capsule as a mission ready for Artemis III, the next crewed Lunar landing that will occur Mid-2027 (Official projection as of late 2025/early 2026). This brings excitement for all as we can go and rediscover the surface of the moon. Be sure to tune in on February 6 as Artemis II launches to witness good news in action.
Another amazing story is that of an elderly woman who had a 40 year old stoneware crocks for sauerkraut. Lois Jurgens, who was trying to sell the crock for only $100 at an auction, was sold for $32,000 while she was away at church. When she arrived at the auction house on her 91st birthday to see how much her item had sold for after church, the auctioneer paused the auction to give her perhaps the best birthday present she’d ever received. “We did a little better than $100,” he said in front of the delighted crowd. “We got you $32,000!” Lois’ piece sold for such a high price for a variety of reasons which included rare misprints, a rare design, and a manufacturing process that only 20 percent of Red Wing’s salt glaze pieces which were signed on the side. The rarity of the piece allowed for the best 91st birthday ever.
