James Franklin
- James Franklin, the Ex-Head Coach of Penn State University, a former powerhouse, was fired on Sunday, October 12th, 2025 because of his back to back losses to UCLA and Northwestern University. Against UCLA, the Lions lost 42-37 when Nico Iamaleava ran for 3 TDs and threw for 2 more TDs. The Lions were beat by the WINLESS UCLA Bruins who lost to multiple terrible schools that aren’t in the power 4 program. They also lost to Northwestern who is well, terrible, they lost to them 22-21 in their matchup where Drew Allar threw for 137 yards with 1 touchdown while the Northwester QB, Preston Stone, threw for 163 yards with 1 touchdown. Penn State went from their 3-0 start to now being 3-5 which is just absolutely TERRIBLE for their program and something they haven’t seen for a long long time. You might feel bad for James Franklin because of his years of good work but he was given over 56 million due to his contract so it really is fine since he will definitely get another job.
Brian Kelly
- Brian Kelly, the former head coach for Notre Dame and recently LSU was fired on October 26th 2025 when his team got beat by Ole Miss and there was a heavy argument with the board over staff changes. Brian Kelly is one of the most hated coaches by not only fans but by players too. In the recent age of player coach relationships, Brian Kelly is left behind and is seen as a tyrannical and evil coach. It is likely that he will get a new job but it is also possible he wont due to his coaching methods and lack of results in his coaching career. Although he did have an overall winning career at LSU with a 34-14 record, the disappointment from the fans is something to take into account. They started this season off strong and eventually made it to the top 3 teams in the country whenever they fell from the sky like Icarus as the Tigers are now 5-3 and 10th in the SEC.
Mike Shula
- Mike Shula, my least favorite coach from this year, has FINALLY gotten fired after Shane Beamer finally realized that the fans were right. Mike Shula was a terrible play caller that my dad, my friends, and I all yelled at. There were some plays that were good, of course, but they were all mostly hail Mary throws that were completed due to Nyck Harbors 99 speed. Mike had no idea what he was doing even though he was an experienced coach, for example, he would run the ball up the middle 4 times in a row and get stuffed every single time as if doing the same play over and over again would accomplish anything. Is this biased? YES, as a South Carolina diehard fan, I was extremely disappointed with the play calling and the level of play with the offense. The offense did become better when the O-Line coach got replaced but still with the lack of good play calling, Shane Beamer was finally forced to throw in the towel and fire him.
