There were many upsets this past week in the NFL, from the Cowboys actually winning against a good team to the Broncos comeback against the Giants, the NFL had some crazy games.
Cowboys vs. Commanders
On Oct. 19th 2025 the Cowboys defeated my glorious Washington Commanders 44-22. The Commanders who were lacking their main weapons on offense struggled against the Cowboys. With the losses of Scary Terry, Deebo Samuel, and Noah Brown, the Commanders struggled. While during the game, Jayden Daniels got a knee injury which was the nail in the coffin as they basically had a team of backups in. Before his injury, Jayden Daniels threw for over 155 yards and threw 1 touchdown, but compared to the stats that the ancient Dak Prescott had, you would think he played terribly. Dak threw for over 260 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Commanders which was outstanding to say the least.
Giants vs. Broncos
On Oct 19th 2025, the New York Giants played the Denver Broncos, the Giants led by Jaxson Dart lost 32-33 to the Broncos in an insane comeback. The Broncos fought valiantly in their game against the Giants as they scored NO POINTS leading up to the 4th quarter, then they decided to lock in and they dropped 33 against the Giants in an INSANE comeback. Jaxson Dart threw for over 280 yards with 3 TD and 1 INT compared to Bo Nix’s 279 yards and 2 TD’s. The Giants were up 19-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter and then the Broncos scored at the beginning of the 4th with a completed 2 point conversion. The Giants retaliated with a touchdown of their own but the Broncos came right back and scored with another 2 point conversion to make it 26-16. But then the Broncos came down and scored back to back touchdowns making it 30-26. The Giants scored making it 32-30 but the Broncos came down and kicked a last second field goal for the win, 33-32.
Panthers vs. Jets
The Carolina Panthers played the New York Jets last weekend is one of the most uneventful games of the season. The Panthers defeated the Jets 13-6 in their “brawl.” Jaycee Horn, former Gamecock, was a standout player for the Panthers defense. With 2 interceptions, Horn put the team on his back to help his team get the win. One of his interception was a one handed catch in the end zone, which prevented the Jets from scoring that drive. Bryce Young threw for just over 135 yards and had 1 touchdown throw to Xavier Legette compared to the Jets backup, Tyrod Taylor who threw for 126 yards and had 2 INT’s. The Panthers some how shut down the Jets star running back, Breece Hall, as he had only 38 rushing yards that game.
Honorable Mention:
Packers vs. Cardinals
The Packers somehow struggled early against the Cardinals in their matchup last weekend as they quickly went down 13-3, but the Packers soon came back as the final score was 27-23. Jacoby Brissett, the BACKUP for the Cardinals threw for over 275 yards and 2 TD’s compared to Jordan Love’s 179 yards and 1 TD. The Packers victory was a jump scare as it shows that great teams are able to lose to bad teams, just not today.
