Having Fun With Your Gal Pals

How to plan and host a fun Galentine’s Day
Having+Fun+With+Your+Gal+Pals

February 14th, aka Valentines Day, can be fun for those who are in committed relationships or for people who are figuring their feelings out with someone. It can also be fun for people who just want to celebrate the feeling of loving others like your friends. Most girls know that on the week of Valentine’s Day, or on Valentine’s Day itself you can host a spinoff party known as Galentines, where you hang out with your friends and spend good quality time with one another. Galentine’s Day has multiple different levels of things to do such as bake and eat delicious treats, play fun games designed to test friendship, and watch fun rom coms. This past weekend my friends and I hosted our own Galentine’s Day, and I am here to give fun suggestions on how to enjoy your Valentine’s Day with your friends and gal pals.

The Order of Events For My Galentines

This year the celebration was a little bit more minimal however my friends and I still had a blast. We started the night off doing a gift exchange in which we gave each other different gifts such as stuffed animals, candy, and even a mega size chocolate perfect man (image later to follow). Since we had our party later in the evening we had a delicious dinner prepared by my friend’s mom, which consisted of a Spanish soup known as Gazpacho, known for being a chilled tomato soup, and three different kinds of sausage: Andouille, Gouda, and Applewood. Later, we nibbled on our assortment of Crumbl cookies that ended our night on a sweet note. Since we were all extremely stuffed, we each took a packet of fun dip to go and went on a walk around the neighborhood to stretch our legs and get some fresh air. I personally love walks because they give you an opportunity to relax and catch up on life with your friends in a casual setting. Now enough about me. I will now give you suggestions and ideas on how to have an amazing Galentine’s Day like I did.

Fun Foods To Share With Friends

Chocolate Covered Strawberries: Chocolate covered strawberries are so easy to make yet are such a sophisticated treat to eat. All that is required of the maker is to melt any type of chocolate that is preferred, and to dip the picked strawberries in the chocolate. These refreshing yet savory treats are perfect for Galentines because they are interactive and can involve every friend in some task. I would rate these delicious treats a 10/10!!

Heart Cookies: If your goal is to keep Galentines interactive then making heart cookies are definitely for you. Sugar cookies are said to be the easiest cookies to make because they require a minimal amount of ingredients and they are super sweet. Everyone can also choose their own colors and patterns to decorate their hearts with. I would rate heart cookies a 9/10 just because they are pretty basic but still a delicious and reliable option.

DIY Heart Shaped Pizzas: Pizza is one of the most popular foods in America, solely because of its savory taste and its ability to be customizable. You can keep it simple and just sprinkle your pie with cheese, or you can spice it up with different meat, vegetables, or spices. My go to customizable option would be a heart shaped Margherita pizza with mozzarella cheese and basil. I would rate heart shaped pizzas a 10/10 for their feasibility and deliciousness.

Fun Games to Play With Friends

Taste and Tell: The object of the game is that everyone brings in a certain food that they crafted prior to the event for everyone to taste. However the twist on the game is that when everyone is trying the food they must be blindfolded. Now good friends would try to make the food as edible as possible for their friends, but there really are no rules on what everyone can feed one another. The goal is that everyone should be able to guess what food they ate but I’m sure the game is not as easy as it sounds.

Don’t Break My Heart: In one minute, every gal at the party is supposed to take a heart balloon that can be purchased at the dollar store, and blow it up as much as possible. During the process girls are supposed to draw fun things on their balloons like smiley faces and emojis. The reason it is called don’t break my heart is because usually when players try to blow the balloon up it pops making a loud bang sound which can be similar to a heartbreak.

Fun Gifts For Your Gal Pals

Skincare: I feel like I can speak for most girls when I say I truly do enjoy receiving a nice face, lip, or hair mask to help me start my week anew on self care days. Good product examples include lip masks from Amazon, Rose eye gel masks from Amazon, or a hand cream pack from Walmart.

Candy: Whether you like chocolate, sour candies, or just pure sugar, Galentine’s day is a great excuse to splurge on your favorites. Some delicious examples include Haribo Sweet and Sour Hearts, Sweetarts Conversation Hearts, Hershey’s Hugs and Kisses, and of course the chocolate perfect man.

In Conclusion: Galentine’s Day is an amazing day for all different types of friend groups to have fun, and the possibilities are endless. The world is your oyster when making plans as the theme, outfits, food, gifts, and games are all up to you. What I love most about this holiday is it represents the importance of friendship amongst girls, at a time when the tan is fading and spring break seems like a century away. I hope all the happy couples have a great Valentine’s Day and I hope the girls have a great Galentine’s Day.
