Top Concerts Coming to Charleston in 2023

2023 will be one of the greatest years in concert history in Charleston, South Carolina. There are dozens of world-famous artists coming to perform in our city, and tickets are selling faster than they are being produced. Here is a thorough review of the stars that you may be lucky enough to see in the upcoming months!

* disclaimer: I have a keen eye for country concerts as my music scope is pretty slim, so please let me know if there are other concerts of different genres that I may have missed in case I make a part 2!

High Water Music Festival, Riverfront Park in North Charleston, April 15 and 16

  • This fun-filled outdoor music and food festival is perfect for the pre-summer weather if you are looking for a night to experience many of your favorite artists from around the world right here in the lowcountry. This concert will feature a variety of stars, including Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Bleachers, Father John Misty, Big Boi, Beck, Wilco, Shovels and Rope, Orville Peck, Angel Olsen, and many more!

Kenny Chesney, Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island, Thursday, May 25, 7-10:30pm

  • Chesney’s “I Go Back” tour will feature fellow country artist Kelsea Ballerini (and for those who are unaware, she is currently dating Chase Stokes which was MIND BLOWING to me when I saw them together on Instagram…) This show is bound to be one of the best, but nosebleed tickets start at $108 dollars, so you better start saving up!

Tyler Childers, Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island, Saturday, August 19, 6:30-9:30pm

  • The up and coming Tyler Childers recently announced his “Send in the Hounds” tour  with special guests S.G. Goodman and Abby. Although I am unfamiliar of who the special guests are, I am sure that this concert will be a big hit!

Mount Joy, The Windjammer on Isle of Palms, April 6, 6pm, April 7, 7pm AND April 8, 6pm

  • This concert originally only had 2 days scheduled, but they ADDED another day because the first two concerts completely sold out!! So if you are planning to attend a once in a lifetime music event, you better get your tickets now before they are gone.

Zach Bryan, the North Charleston Coliseum, Wednesday, May 24, 8pm

  • There is no doubt in my mind that Zach Bryan’s “Burn, Burn, Burn” tour will be entirely sold out when he visits Charleston. As soon as he posted his tour announcement on Instagram, I saw dozens of story reposts despite his somewhat recent popularity. He is one of my favorite artists right now so hopefully I am one of the lucky fans to see him in concert!!

Luke Bryan, Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island, Saturday, October 28, 7pm

  • I am still in complete disbelief that Luke Bryan is coming to Charleston as part of his “Country on Tour” tour. Shockingly enough, the nosebleed tickets are currently priced as low as $53 on Ticketmaster, so hopefully that does not change! However, I along with most other teenage girls in the Charleston area are VERY distraught that this concert is scheduled right on Halloweekend. I think this is terrible planning since he is one of my favorite country artists, but maybe this is just a sign that I should start saving some money instead of spending it on every Credit One concert possible. This also gives me the opportunity to space out the number of concerts I will be attending within the same couple of months so I can watch him perform “Country Girl Shake It For Me” live some other time…

Noah Kahan, Firefly Distillery in North Charleston, Sunday, June 18, 7-11pm

  • Although I have never heard of this artist, this is the perfect concert for you if you are interested in Indie music and would like to hear Kahan’s new album called “Stick Season” live!

Chris Stapleton, Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island, Thursday, July 13, 7pm

  • I am so excited for Chris Stapleton’s “All-American Road Show” tour to be coming to Charleston. Although it seems that many people have already seen him perform live before, attending this concert would be a super exciting first for me! Some of his best and most famous songs that are bound to be even more perfect on stage include “Millionaire,” “Broken Halos,” and “Starting Over.”

Unfortunately many of these concert dates are when the seniors will be moving into or attending college, but this makes a good excuse to return home for a visit! Otherwise, be on the lookout for more concerts closest to you in the second half of 2023 for some musical fun!
