In case you live under a rock, it’s High School Musical <3<3

Ranking+Songs+from+the+Best+Disney+Movie+Trilogy+Ever

I don’t think many people could argue that High School Musical WASN’T part of our childhoods. Whether you’re a senior or a freshman, at some point in your life you’ve heard a HSM song. (If you’re like me, then you play them on repeat in the car and ~Scream~ them at the top of your lungs a la Troy Bolton.) Now I understand that my rankings could cause some controversy, but I’m prepared to back them up. Try me.

So now, the moment you’ve been waiting for…High School Musical (2006):

  1.  Get’cha Head in the Game
  2.  Breaking Free
  3.  What I’ve Been Looking For
  4.  Stick to the Status Quo
  5.  We’re All In This Together
  6.  Bop to the Top
  7.  Start of Something New
  8.  What I’ve Been Looking for (Reprise)
  9. When There was Me and You

High School Musical 2 (2007):

While this is my least favorite of the three movies, the soundtrack is great, so it was especially hard to rank each song.

  1.  Bet On It
  2.  I Don’t Dance
  3.  Work This Out
  4.  Fabulous
  5.  You Are the Music in Me (Sharpay Version)
  6.  What Time Is It *side note- senior prank idea… play this song at the end of the year and do the paper throwing thing… beautiful*
  7.  Everyday
  8.  All For One
  9.  HUMUHUMUNUKUNUKUAPUA’A
  10.  You Are the Music in Me
  11.  Gotta Go My Own Way

High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008):

  1.  Scream
  2.  The Boys Are Back
  3.  Now or Never
  4.  I Want It All
  5.  Senior Year Spring Musical
  6.  A Night to Remember
  7.  High School Musical
  8.  Right Here, Right Now
  9.  Can I Have This Dance
  10.  Walk Away
  11.  Just Wanna Be With You
  12.  Just Getting Started
  13.  We’re All In This Together (Graduation Mix)

In case you just want the best (/most iconic) songs from the series, I present (in my highly professional opinion) the greatest HSM songs of all time:

  1.  Scream- A cinematic masterpiece. Emotion. Guitar. Dancing on the ceiling. SO. GOOD.
  2.  Bet On It- Another “Troy Bolton doesn’t know what to do” song. Arguably the most iconic scenes (i.e. dancing on a golf course, reflection in the water, etc) come from this song.
  3.  The Boys Are Back- A true best friends song. If you haven’t tried to do the dance with your best friend, then what are you even doing with your life.
  4.  Get’cha Head in the Game- Alas, music or basketball. If you can dribble a basketball to the beat, come find me because you need a gold star and win at life.
  5.  I Don’t Dance- peak irony, great music.
  6.  Fabulous- YES. That’s it.
  7.  You Are the Music in Me (Sharpay Version)- Much better than the Troy and Gabriella version. I said what I said.
  8.  Stick to the Status Quo- Simply iconic.
  9.  Now or Never- A great opening number to the third movie. Troy, playing basketball. The emotional last game. Gabriella, standing in the crowd. A spotlight. Such a great scene to reenact.
  10.  We’re All In This Together- This had to make the master list simply because it is THE High School Musical song :)))

I hope this list inspires you to go rewatch these amazing movies and jam out to their great soundtracks!!
