Welcome back, raptors! Jason and I present the next ten seniors of the class of 2024. Here’s the inside scoop, enjoy.
Chloe Carlsten was born on September 15th, 2005. She lives in Mount Pleasant and attended Moultrie Middle School. Chloe’s favorite animal is a flamingo– just as unique and elegant as her. Chloe’s soundtrack of her life is her country music playlist filled with Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers (go follow her @chloecarlsten on Spotify)! She dreams of sushi boats and Ruby’s french toast bagels on the side. Chloe has so many good memories at Magnet it is impossible to name just one. She is happiest when tanning and swimming on the beach during the summer. #noschool
Connor Sawall’s a May baby, born May 18, 2006. He lives in West Ashley and went to Orange Grove for middle school. Connor’s favorite animal is a giraffe because “they have long necks and they are pretty cool”. “8th Wonder of the World” by BabyTron is the soundtrack of his life and his dream meal is a steak. Connor’s favorite memory at Magnet is when he threw three innings, had eight strikeouts, and hit a double during his first start on the mound against North Charleston High School. Unsurprisingly, Connor is happiest when he is playing baseball. We love when you play baseball, too, Connor.
Ford Martin was born on November 21, 2005 which has to land on Thanksgiving every few years– very cool! He lives in Hollywood and attended Orange Grove Middle School. Ford’s favorite animal is a black lab or a buck, loyal and strong. The soundtrack of his life is “Quittin’ Time” by Zach Bryan and his dream meal is the challenger burger from the Fillin’ Station with fries, sweet tea, and fried pickles; Ford’s got that real country boy swagger. His favorite memory at Magnet is senior year of football and playing lacrosse with Coach Cosgrove. Ford is happiest when he is driving fast (check out Charlie Zaifert’s article for the follow-up), when he’s working, or when he’s on the boat.
Milla Broadwater was born on March 18, 2006. Milla is another Orange Grove Middle School graduate and she lives in West Ashley. Her favorite animal is a pitbull (very unique) and the soundtrack to her life is “A Lonely Night” by the Weeknd. Keeping it simple, Milla’s dream meal is a margherita pizza. When asked about her favorite memory at Magnet, Milla responded, “personally, I loved when we were able to leave early after the sewage debacle sophomore year”. Leaving school at 10 am is always a great feeling. Milla is happiest when she walks out of Magnet without having a test the next day.
Marina Barnes was born on February 2, 2006. She lives on Sullivan’s Island and went to Moultrie Middle School. Marina’s favorite animal is her Golden, Luna (aw) and the soundtrack of her life is “Love and War” by Kodak Black. Marina’s dream meal is Lauren Faust’s gluten-free food that she eats at lunch everyday. A popular favorite, Marina’s favorite memory at Magnet was when we beat the seniors on wall day our sophomore year. Marina is happiest when she is in the gym or listening to music with her friends.
Charlie Zaifert was born on January 24, 2006. She went to Laing Middle School and she lives in Mount Pleasant. Charlie’s favorite animal is a cat because “they are just so cute and small and they smell so good”. The soundtrack of her life is “Breathe (In The Air)” by Pink Floyd and her dream meal is a sushi boat with a lobster roll on the side and warm Deer Valley chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Her favorite memory at Magnet is when the girls soccer team beat Bishop England 5-1 her sophomore year because a lot of people came to support the team and it was really hype. Charlie is happiest when she is out with friends, snuggling her pets, or on any boat.
Next up is Lukey Sutherland. He was born May 27, 2006 and he lives in Mount Pleasant. Lukey’s favorite animal is a donkey and he attended Buist Academy for middle school. The soundtrack of his life is the entirety of Doja Cat and his dream meal is KFC. Lukey’s all-time favorite memory at Magnet was when he won capture the flag during freshman year PE. Holding that little flag must have felt really good, I guess! He is happiest when he is eating.
Jacob Olinger was born December 15, 2005. He lives in Mount Pleasant and went to Laing Middle School. “Life is a Highway” by Rascal Flatts is the soundtrack of his life– a classic. Jacob’s dream meal is Raising Cane’s with an extra Texas toast. His favorite memory at Magnet was our first spirit week as a senior class, “especially wall day and the pep rally,” he includes. Jacob is happiest when driving his car on an empty road; I am assuming he is also blasting “Life is a Highway” on his ride.
Harper Riley was born June 9, 2006. She lives in Mount Pleasant and went to Moultrie Middle School. Her favorite animal is a dog and the soundtrack of her life is “Glockoma 2” by Key Glock. Harper’s dream meal is a Wendy’s cheeseburger, Chick-Fil-A fries, and a Dr. Pepper– a great variety. Once again, Harper’s favorite memory at Magnet was beating the seniors our sophomore wall day. Harper is happiest when she is with friends.
Abram Shuler was born December 1, 2005. He lives in Mount Pleasant and went to Moultrie Middle School. Abram’s favorite animal is his dog, Pickles, and the soundtrack of his life is everything Van Halen. Abram dreams of a MASSIVE plate of spaghetti and meatballs and his favorite memory at Magnet is “goofing off at lunch with friends (RIP Rohan)”. He is happiest when he is playing music as loud as possible.
That’s all for Senior Spotlight Part 2! We hope you guys tune back in for part 3. Thanks for reading!
