The 68th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 1st, 2026, so stay tuned to watch the performances! Sabrina Carpenter will be the first to perform. Although popularity is not the only factor taken into account when these albums, songs, and artists are judged, it does play a role as often popularity means the album, song, or artist is good in terms of vocals, lyrics, and more. I made predictions for each category, so let me know if you agree.
These are the nominations:
General
Best New Artist
Addison Rae, Alex Warren, Katseye, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, Sombr, and The Marías.
My prediction: I could be wrong, but I predict that Sombr or Katseye will win due to their popularity and unique sounding songs. Although others, such as Lola Young and Olivia Dean, could possibly win because of their vocals as well, Sombr and Katseye use distinctive and different sounds and production in their songs.
Record of the Year
“DTMF” – Bad Bunny, “Manchild” – Sabrina Carpenter, “Anxiety” – Doechii, “Wildflower” – Billie Eilish, “Abracadabra” – Lady Gaga, “Luther” – Kendrick Lamar & SZA, “The Subway” – Chappell Roan, and “APT.” – Rosé & Bruno Mars
My prediction: “APT.”, “Anxiety”, or “Manchild” were very popular on social media. However, “Luther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA stands out because of the artists’ chemistry and lyrical quality.
Album of the Year
Debí Tirar Más Fotos – Bad Bunny, Swag – Justin Bieber, Man’s Best Friend – Sabrina Carpenter, Let God Sort Em Out – Clipse, Mayhem – Lady Gaga, GNX – Kendrick Lamar, Mutt – Leon Thomas, and Chromakopia – Tyler, the Creator
My prediction: “Man’s Best Friend” had many songs that got very popular on social media, but these albums all contain great artistic vision and production quality, so they all have a chance of winning.
Song of the Year
“Abracadabra” – Lady Gaga, “Anxiety” – Doechii, “APT.” – Rosé & Bruno Mars,“DTMF” – Bad Bunny, “Golden” (from KPop Demon Hunters, Huntrix: Ejae, Audrey Nuna & Rei Ami), “Luther” – Kendrick Lamar and SZA, “Manchild” – Sabrina Carpenter, and “Wildflower” – Billie Eilish
My prediction: Although “Manchild” and “Abracadabra” are definitely contenders, I believe “APT.”, “Anxiety”, or “Golden” will win, most likely “Golden” because the K-Pop Demon Hunters movie had an outstanding cultural impact and significance throughout many ages.
Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical
Amy Allen, Edgar Barrera, Jessie Jo Dillon, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Laura Veltz
My prediction: I think Amy Allen will win due to her popular, catchy, and meaningful songwriting for artists such as Sabrina Carpenter and Tate McRae.
Pop & Dance/Electronic
Best Pop Solo Performance
“Daisies” – Justin Bieber, “Manchild” – Sabrina Carpenter, “Disease” – Lady Gaga, “The Subway” – Chappell Roan, and “Messy” – Lola Young
My Prediction: I expect that either Sabrina Carpenter or Lola Young’s performances will win due to their outstanding vocal control. If neither of them win, I would think that Chappell Roan might.
Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
“Defying Gravity” – Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande, “Golden” (from KPop Demon Hunters) – Huntrix: Ejae, Audrey Nuna & Rei Ami, “Gabriela” – Katseye, “APT.” – Rosé & Bruno Mars, “30 for 30” – SZA featuring Kendrick Lamar
My prediction: This one is a hard one, I’m not sure because there are many popular contenders. I’m not familiar with “30 for 30”, so I can’t give you an accurate prediction but all these artists have amazing vocals. For vocal performance however, I expect “Defying Gravity” or “Golden” to win, especially because Wicked has already won so many awards.
Best Pop Vocal Album
Swag – Justin Bieber, Man’s Best Friend – Sabrina Carpenter, Something Beautiful – Miley Cyrus, Mayhem – Lady Gaga, and I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2) – Teddy Swims
My Prediction: The Man’s Best Friend album by Sabrina Carpenter will probably win due to her vocals, popularity, and deeper meanings.
Best Dance/Electronic Album
Ten Days – Fred Again.., Fancy That – PinkPantheress, Inhale / Exhale – Rüfüs Du Sol, and albums by FKA Twigs and Skrillex.
My prediction: I’m not familiar with these albums, so I can’t make a good prediction, but the Fancy That album has “Illegal” and “Stateside” which were very popular songs and “Stateside” brought together both PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson fans along with a unique combination of genres.
Best Dance Pop Recording
“Bluest Flame” – Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, “Abracadabra” – Lady Gaga, “Midnight Sun” – Zara Larsson, “Just Keep Watching” (from F1 the Movie) – Tate McRae, and “Illegal” – PinkPantheress
My prediction: Either “Abracadabra” or “Midnight Sun” because Lady Gaga is known for her eccentric dance moves and Zara Larsson has been rising in popularity due to the nostalgia of 2016 and people wanting to recreate that vibe in 2026, along with her opening for Tate McRae on her recent tour.
Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical
“Abracadabra” (Gesaffelstein Remix) – Gesaffelstein, remixer (Lady Gaga and Gesaffelstein), “Don’t Forget About Us” – Kaytranada, remixer (Mariah Carey & Kaytranada), “A Dreams a Dream” (Ron Trent Remix) – Ron Trent, remixer (Soul II Soul), “Galvanize” – Chris Lake, remixer (The Chemical Brothers & Chris Lake), and “Golden” (David Guetta Rem/x) – David Guetta, remixer (Huntrix: Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami)
My prediction: Again, “Golden” was very popular and it will most likely win this section. The movie “K-Pop Demon Hunters” brought together many communities across the world, so its cultural impact will most likely be a factor in the decision making process.
Best Alternative Music Album
Sable, Fable – Bon Iver, Songs of a Lost World – The Cure, Don’t Tap the Glass – Tyler, the Creator, Moisturizer – Wet Leg, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party – Hayley Williams
My prediction: I think Tyler, the Creator will win this album category also due to its popularity and unique artistry.
That is all for part 1, there’s more nominations, including those with different genres, that you can check out on:

Or the official Grammys website.
Overall, I am guessing that Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, and Doechii will win at least one along and possibly Lola Young and Katseye. I think “APT” by Rosé and Bruno Mars should win a category due to its popularity and catchiness. However, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, and SZA have some exceptional and meaningful lyrics in some of their songs which gives them an extra boost in the realm of lyrical quality. Many of their songs have deeper meanings which sets them apart from some others.
