March Madness 2025 Predictions
With the third round of March Madness right around the corner, the 16 college basketball teams left in the tournament across the country are preparing for their regional semifinals and making more great Cinderella stories that have helped make the NCAA tournament one of the most exciting events in sports over the past decades. While it is nearly impossible to make a perfect bracket, plenty of students at AMHS are close in a competition for who can predict the results of the most game accurately.
Top Contenders
- Duke Blue Devils
Duke has a very young but talented roster that has matured greatly over the course of the season. Although they are led by freshman All American Cooper Flagg, who does not have very much experience in college basketball, they also have a mix of veteran upperclassmen that have plenty of experience playing in march. This mix of experience and raw talent will be sure to aid the Blue Devils in their conquest for the national championship.
- Houston Cougars
Kevin Sampson’s Houston Cougars are one of the most aggressive and defensive minded teams in the college game. Their ability to force turnovers and control their tempo makes them a nightmare for any opposing teams to face against. If they get hot from the three on offense, there is simply no home for their opponents and they could be a sleeper team to cut down the nets this year.
- Florida Gators
The Florida Gators are one of the hottest teams in college basketball as of recently and have a quick and efficient roster that is capable of making a deep run in the tournament. Led by star upperclassmen guard, Walter Clayton Jr. this team is very versatile and can navigate any team’s defense that they face. However, this team is a very fast pace offensive minded team so if they run into a team that contradicts this fast pace such as Saint Mary’s, then they could be due for some trouble in the upcoming games.
Potential Cinderella Teams
- Arkansas Razorbacks
This ten seeded team has already upset two higher seeded teams in the span of this tournament in the first two rounds and looks to upset yet another highly seeded team in the sweet 16. Coached by hall of fame coach, John Capallari with a number of NBA talented players on the roster, this team should not have an issue playing whichever highly seeded team they have to play in the future, just as they have breezed past the teams in the first two rounds of the tournament such as Saint John’s coached by famous head coach legend, Rick Pitino.
- Ole Miss
Another Cinderella team that is looking to make a deep run in this year’s tournament is the Ole Miss rebels. This team has great strength and size to complement their aggressive playstyle and has beaten many reputable programs already in the tournament like the North Carolina Tar Heels and Iowa State Cyclones. This team does not have any notable NBA talent, but their teamwork and strength in the face of adversity has enabled them to persevere through the first two rounds of the tournament so far.
