Michigan vs Ohio State is one of the oldest and biggest rivalries in college football. Ohio State came into this game ranked number 2 in both the AP poll and the College Football Playoff rankings. South Carolina vs Clemson
Clemson hosted the Gamecocks Saturday for the 115th meeting between these two teams. Despite Clemson leading for most of the game, a game-winning drive capped off by a 20-yard touchdown run by South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers. Fans in attendance at Memorial Stadium said it immediately went quiet when he strolled into the endzone. While Sellers could not get it going through the air Saturday, it was his running ability that made the difference for South Carolina in this contest. He led the team in rushing with 166 yards and a touchdown. Cade Klubnik, the Clemson quarterback also had a stellar game, but ultimately his interception thrown on the final drive of the game is what sealed Clemson’s fate. Gamecock fans had hoped that this game would propel them into the college football playoffs, but unfortunately for them, in recent rankings, they just missed the cut with the committee giving favor to Alabama who beat South Carolina earlier this year. Sophomore, Dave Jacobs, attended this game and he commented about how riveting it was to go to his first rivalry game, Dave said his favorite part was rushing the field at the end of the game during the Gamecocks huge victory. Dave also claimed that he ran into Marquel Creighton at the game, while we aren’t sure if this is true or not it seems like it was a big day for this magnet student.
