Everyone has their inner spirit animal. We asked students if they were to be an animal and why they would be. There was a lot of variety in the responses and we were very surprised with the unique amount of responses. To start Julia Dennie said, ‘I would be a panda because I am nice and vegetarian” This is an interesting take but it’s simple. I like how she took aspects of her own life and found an animal to fit them. Whitney Gwisc says that she would be a dolphin because she loves the beach and the ocean. Peyton Johnson wants to be a shrew because they love to dig holes and they have a specific liking towards shiny objects. I guess Peyton must like digging holes and shiny objects. John T channels his inner king of the jungle and says he would be a lion because he is the king of magnet. Freshman Judd Waggoner wants to be a crab, but specifically a “big ahh” crab that is red and “got pinchers”. I like this pick, crabs are extremely underrated and one of the best animals. Emilio Roxa says he would be his friend JL Silveston. Inside information says he picked this because he wants to be as cool and nonchalant and chill as JL. Genevieve Emory comes in with a classic pick.
She says she would be a dog because she wants to lounge around all day, go on long walks about the neighborhood, and most importantly be petted by people. Cole Fritz seems to really like cats. He says that he would be an cute orange cat to match his red hair. I like how his animal impersonates him in real life. Good choice Cole! Instead of just a basic animal, Gray Meers would most want to be a Pokemon. Specifically Piplup because he says it is his favorite. Yidong Ye says he would be a camel to eat cactus. If you want to be a specific animal just to eat cactus then it must be good. John Rosato was the most enthusiastic about his choice. He insisted he would be a wolf so he could be the “Alpha” and the “one to trust.”
Charlotte Shields is our second person who would want to be a dog. Similar to Genevieve, she would want to be pampered and taken care of. We have another repeat pick, with Freya Lawrence choosing to be a cat because they are her favorite animals. While I don’t love cats, I could see how some people would love this pick. Izzy Steel insists she would be a unicorn because she is special in her own way. I like this pick, way to stand out! Katie Sheffield said she would be a Beluga whale. She didn’t offer any explanation, so I am a little confused on this pick, but it’s a unique one regardless. These diverse choices show how different our student population here is at Magnet. What animal would you choose if you had to be one?
