Senior league fantasy football power rankings
The contenders
1. Nikos Paraschos
Despite a slow start to the season in which Nikos’ team started with a 1-2 record, he has bounced back and turned his team around completely. After making a series of trades with JL Silveston, he has climbed up to an 8-3 record and is currently the narrow favorite to win the league over Reece Early. The key to his turnaround has been through star running back Saquan Barkley, who has been averaging just over 22 points per game this season, which has led him to narrow victories over other contending teams like Everett Landrith and Reece Early.
2. Reece Early
While Reece’s team has faced a variety of challenges throughout the season such as long term injuries to his first overall pick, Christian McCaffrey and Rashee Rice, he has still been able to make some good trades for his team and bounce back into a contending position. Certain players on his team such as George Pickens and Christian McCaffrey have been playing very well late into the season which have propelled his team into scoring the highest points in the league for two weeks straight. Reece’s team has been doing nothing but heading in the right direction as of recently and he looks to come for the number one spot in the league very soon.
3. Jose Reveulta
Although Jose possesses the best record in the league at 9-2 with wins over both of the teams above him, most league analysis say that he has the record he does due to more of a stroke of luck that is soon to come to an end when he plays a real contender in the upcoming weeks. However, Jose has made very good progress with his team through masterclass trades such as trading for running back Chase Brown, which has developed into an outstanding running back 2 option in the last couple weeks. However, although Jose has star power on his team such as Joe Mixon and Amon-ra St Brown, the real power of his team will be shown when he has to play real contenders in the weeks coming up.
4. JL Silveston
Although JL has faced negative expectations from the rest of the league from the moment he joined due to his apparent lack of football knowledge, he has been a contending team both of the years he has played. At one point, JL possessed the best player in fantasy football Jamarr Chase, but was scammed by Dean McCullough in a blockbuster trade where he seemed to trade a large chunk of the team for not an awesome return. However, JL has gone on an outstanding run ever since then, averaging 123.5 points in his last 5 games which secures his spot as the fourth best team in the power rankings.
Playoff hopefuls
5. Thomas Hershey
The defending champion of the league, Thomas Hershey started off the season outstandingly, winning four games in a row and averaging the most amount of points in the league, however due to the injuries of multiple players on his team such as Isseah Pacheco and Devonte Smith, he has descended in the rankings and has fallen to an 8-3 record. However, the injured players that Thomas’ team has sustained such as Pacheco and Smith are on track to return in the next coming weeks, which will be sure to assist Thomas in a late payoff push.
6. Dean McCullough
Dean’s team is looking to make a playoff push late in the season. This week may prove difficult to win for him however. He has almost all of his starters on bye weeks, including Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase. Burrow and Chase’s recent outstanding performances have kept Dean in the race for playoffs. Only time will tell if this team has enough to make it to the promised land.
7. Logan Burns
Logan is coming off a rough loss against an over performing JL team. He looks to bounce back this week against Jack Kieffer to keep his playoff hopes alive. Logan’s team is led by a stacked receiver core in Nico Collins, Jayden Reed, and DJ Moore. His running backs are solid especially after he picked up the promising Giants rookie, Tyrone Tracy Jr. It is looking like Tracy will make another jump in points after the Giants bench their QB1 and release a statement saying they will become a very run heavy offense. The future looks bright for Logan’s RB2. League insiders have informed us of rumors of a blockbuster trade between Logan and Nikos. This would include Nikos trading Ceedee Lamb, Terry Mclaurin, and Alvin Kamara for Nico Collins, Jayden Reed, and Kyren Williams. If this trade happens it is sure to shake up the league.
8. Garrison Gray
After a rough start to the year, Garrison is on a 6 game winning streak and making a push to the playoffs. He knocked off a heavy weight last week in Thomas’ team and it is looking like he will continue this domination again this week against the 2 seed Reece. Garrison’s turnaround has been the story of the year for the league. After only winning 4 games in the first 5 weeks of the season, Garrison went crazy on the trades, he has completely switched up his team from the first few weeks, and it has worked. He has also been extremely lucky on the waiver wires, picking up both Jauan Jennings and Deandre Hopkins. These two players have proved vital to his late season success.
Eliminated from playoff contention
9. Jack Kieffer
Jack Kieffer has become one of the most overrated fantasy football managers in the last few recent years. During his first season with the league, he made many blockbuster deals for players such as Derrick Henry during the best season of his career, which propelled his team to be one of the best teams in the league for the time being. That season, he even made the fantasy championship but fell slightly short to his longtime rival, Nikos Paraschos in the fantasy championship. Ever since then, his teams have been nothing short of a complete disaster. Last year, he fell short of the playoffs despite no injuries to his team and this year, he has already been eliminated from playoff contention with losses to Jose Revuelta, Garrison Gray, and Thomas Hershey, which has plummeted his record to 3-8. Jack Kieffer repeatedly claims to “know ball” more than anyone else in the league, but the results have not been there to back him up. With terrible trades such as the one made for Tyreek Hill which has been averaging just under 13 points per game since joining Jack’s team, he has dug his own grave in what looks to be one of the last years of fantasy football for Magnets senior class. We will see if Jack Keiffers self diagnosed ‘ball knowledge’ can spark a miracle comeback late in the season which will save him from the infamous last place punishment this year.
10. Gray Jordan
On paper Gray’s team should be a lot better than his ranking, but he has yet to put it all together for a successful season. His quarterback is Lamar Jackson, the number one fantasy player this year. His receivers are extremely underperforming and this may be the source of his problems. Marvin Harrison Jr, who was supposed to be a force to be reckoned with once he entered the league has been extremely mid this year. Courtland Sutton, who was a touchdown machine last year, has yet to carry that over into this season.
11. Max Peters
Max is extremely lucky he is in a league with Everett. In almost any other league, Max’s team would be without a doubt the worst in the league. He can only hope to at least not drop the ball in the toilet bowl and avoid the punishment for this year.
12. Everett Landrith
Everett is at the bottom of the league for now, and it looks like it will stay that way. Everett has yet to win a game this year and it does not seem likely that he will pull out a win in the remaining weeks. A combination of bad luck and making horrible trades have landed him in this spot. Everett also lost the league last season and got caged for his punishment, so this season the league will most likely decide an even worse punishment to motivate him towards success for next year. Despite his underperforming team, Everett is confident he will win the toilet bowl and avoid the league’s last place punishment, which he received last year.
While these are the current power rankings for the senior class fantasy football league, there is still plenty of time left in the 2024-2025 football season for teams to turn their seasons around or get incredibly worse. Anything can happen in this years competitive playoff race, and we are excited to see how the rest of the year plays out and who takes home the trophy this year.
