Have you ever had a gourmet cookie? If not, you should probably head to Crumbl Cookies to get a delicious bite of one of the six flavors they offer for the week. Although they rotate starting each Monday, there is no shortage of good options. And, if you missed your chance to get a cookie from the week before, you can pay an extra 25 cents to get one!
For the week of October 28th, Grace Griffin and I went to Crumbl after a delicious dinner at Crave Kitchen & Cocktails (which is another restaurant I recommend if you haven’t been since they have the best mac and cheese on the planet). The lineup was: banana upside down cake, pink velvet cake cookie, confetti milkshake cookie, Kentucky butter cake cookie, sticky bun cookie, and the classic milk chocolate chip cookie. After trying them, I ranked the cookies as follows:
6 (Sticky Bun) – I did not enjoy eating this cookie at all. It had the flavor of a cinnamon bun without the bun, and the cinnamon flavoring was extremely overpowering. Grace compared it to a Belvita cinnamon cookie, which I definitely agree with. Rating: 3/10.
5 (Pink Velvet Cake) – I didn’t love this cookie since it had an overpowering vanilla taste that I wasn’t a fan of. Grace gave it a 6/10, so she clearly liked it a little more than my 4/10 rating.
4 (Kentucky Butter Cake) – Honestly, I thought it was a delicious cookie, although the flavor was a little questionable in theory. It tasted like butter with some salt to offset the sweet cookie. I wish there was some more flavoring on it but I still rate it a 5/10
3 (Milk Chocolate Chip) – A classic cookie that you can’t go wrong with. If you’re trying to play it safe then get this flavor or the semi-sweet chocolate chunk that it rotates with weekly. There wasn’t anything special about it, and I’ve had it before and still like it, but it wasn’t my favorite of the lineup.
2 (Banana Upside Down Cake) – The Crumbl chain has recently started branching out from the cookie domain and introducing cakes such as this one. Unfortunately, it was out of stock when Grace and I went, but I like to think that it was a delicious special and would have ranked highly on my list.
1 (Confetti Milkshake) – We were so excited to try this cookie that we got two of them!! It was refreshing and not overwhelming at all and had a pretty whipped cream dollop on the top. I hope this cookie cycles back around for us to experience again because it was DELICIOUS! 8.5/10
Honorable Mention – I feel obligated to share my favorite buy from Crumbl: the Trés Leches cake. If you haven’t tried it, I’m sorry for the experience you missed out on. It’s melt-in-your-mouth delicious and came in a pretty big serving, so it’s shareable if you feel like you can’t finish it yourself.
As I mentioned before, these are some gourmet cookies that are very filling if you are eating them by yourself. If you are hoping to try them this week, the flavors are semi-sweet chocolate chunk, cherry cheesecake, chocolate cupcake, pumpkin roll, pink doughnut, lemon crinkle, maple glaze, and snickerdoodle. Comment down below if you try it!
