The NFL season is already halfway over, and for some teams it practically is. So what better time than now to start looking towards the next offseason and the 2025 Draft? This College Football season has been crazy with players’ draft stock crashing and others skyrocketing week by week. This will lead to an even crazier draft with teams trying to find “their guy” in the sea of college players. There will be lots of busts drafted because of this uncertainty, but some teams will strike gold and find the next Bo Nix or Puka Nacua.
This Mock Draft is ordered based on records after Week 9 and the most important picks will have commentary.
1.01 New England Patriots – Travis Hunter [WR/CB – Colorado]
Current Record:
Team Needs: WR, G, T
Whoever picks Travis Hunter will have an interesting job on their hands. Do they continue his use as a two-way WR/CB or limit him to one side of the ball in the much more physical and fast-paced NFL? The Patriots need to get promising rookie Drake Maye more weapons and could also benefit from a star corner. I could also see New England going the route of improving the O-Line to protect Drake Maye and maybe target a receiver deeper in the draft.
1.02 Jacksonville Jaguars – Will Johnson [CB – Michigan]
Current Record:
Team Needs: G, T, CB
1.03 New Orleans Saints – Tyler Booker [G – Alabama]
Current Record:
Team Needs: G, DL
1.04 Carolina Panthers – Cam Ward [QB – Miami]
Current Record: QB, WR, ED, LB
Team Needs:
The Bryce Young Experiment in Carolina is coming to a close. Young simply hasn’t lived up to expectations in the NFL. You can blame it on coaching, a bad O-Line, no offensive weapons, or no defensive support, but eventually, you have to realize Bryce Young isn’t helping. Carolina needs someone who can play at a higher level while they build a team around him, which Cam Ward can be.
1.05 Cleveland Browns – Jalen Milroe [QB – Alabama]
Current Record:
Team Needs: QB, RB, WR, T
1.06 Las Vegas Raiders – Shadeur Sanders [QB – Colorado]
Current Record:
Team Needs: QB, RB, CB
1.07 New York Giants – Garrett Nussmeier [QB – LSU]
Current Record:
Team Needs: QB, T, CB
If you’ve watched the Giants at all this year, you’ll know Daniel Jones is not it. The Giants need to cut their losses and move on to their next quarterback. If they keep Jones they’re simply wasting an otherwise fairly good team with Malik Nabers, Tyrone Tracy Jr., and Dexter Lawrence.
1.08 Miami Dolphins – Will Campbell [T – LSU]
Current Record:
Team Needs: G, T, CB
1.09 Tennessee Titans – Tetairoa McMillan [WR – Arizona]
Current Record:
Team Needs: QB, WR, T
1.10 New York Jets – Mason Graham [DL – Michigan]
Current Record:
Team Needs: QB, TE, DL, CB
1.11 Dallas Cowboys – Danny Stutsman [LB – Oklahoma]
Current Record:
Team Needs: RB, DL, LB
At this point, the Cowboys need to just start over and draft a whole new roster and owner while they’re at it.
1.12 Indianapolis Colts – Colston Loveland [TE – Michigan]
Current Record:
Team Needs: TE, LB, S
1.13 Cincinnati Bengals – Kenneth Grant [DL – Michigan]
Current Record:
Team Needs: WR, DL
1.14 Seattle Seahawks – Kelvin Banks Jr. [T – Texas]
Current Record:
Team Needs: G, T, LB
1.15 Los Angeles Rams – Benjamin Morrison [CB – Notre Dame]
Current Record:
Team Needs: T, LB, CB
1.16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Nic Scourton [ED – Texas A&M]
Current Record:
Team Needs: TE, ED, CB
1.17 San Francisco 49ers – Shavon Revel [CB – East Carolina]
Current Record:
Team Needs: G, T, CB
1.18 Chicago Bears – Cameron Williams [T – Texas]
Current Record:
Team Needs: G, T, DL
1.19 Denver Broncos – Luther Burden III [WR – Missouri]
Current Record:
Team Needs: WR, TE, T, DL
The Broncos are beating expectations this season as they’re currently 5-4. The defense has been playing at a Top 3 level and the O-Line is solid. However, the receiver corp has been plagued by drops and the run game has been inconsistent at best. Any team with “Lil’Jordan Humphrey” as WR2 won’t go far. The Broncos draft either the best available WR or Ashton Jeanty (or best available RB).
1.20 Arizona Cardinals – Jihaad Campbell [LB – Alabama]
Current Record:
Team Needs: T, DL, LB
1.21 Los Angeles Chargers – Tyler Warren [TE – Penn State]
Current Record:
Team Needs: TE, DL
1.22 Atlanta Falcons – Deone Walker [DL – Kentucky]
Current Record:
Team Needs: DL, LB
1.23 Green Bay Packers – Aireontae Ersery [T – Minnesota]
Current Record:
Team Needs: T, DL, CB
1.24 Baltimore Ravens – Denzel Burke [CB – Ohio State]
Current Record:
Team Needs: G, T, CB
1.25 Houston Texans – Luke Kandra [G – Cincinnati]
Current Record:
Team Needs: RB, G, DL
1.26 Philadelphia Eagles – Cooper Flagg [PF – Duke]
Current Record:
Team Needs: ED, LB
Cooper Flagg is such a generational prospect the NFL needs him. Any team lucky enough to land him will be set for years to come. Flagg will completely change the trajectory of the Eagles franchise for the better.
1.27 Pittsburgh Steelers – Isaiah Bond [WR – Texas]
Current Record:
Team Needs: WR, T, LB
1.28 Minnesota Vikings – Ashton Jeanty [RB – Boise State]
Current Record:
Team Needs: RB, G, CB
Ashton Jeanty is one of the best running back prospects of all time, rivaling Barry Sanders. I’d honestly be surprised if this generational player fell this far, but based on team needs, that’s what it’s looking like.
1.29 Washington Commanders – Abdul Carter [ED – Penn State]
Current Record:
Team Needs: T, ED, CB
1.30 Buffalo Bills – Dontay Corleone [DL – Cincinnati]
Current Record:
Team Needs: DL, LB
1.31 Detroit Lions – Mykel Williams [ED – Georgia]
Current Record:
Team Needs: C, G, ED
1.32 Kansas City Chiefs – Quinshon Judkins [HB – Ohio State]
Current Record:
Team Needs: RB, TE, T
If the Chiefs are picking 32nd it will be a dark day for the NFL. I predict they’ll be picking closer to the 28-31 range. Nevertheless, they need a running back to add depth to their RB room which has been exposed following the injury to Isaiah Pacheco.
