Club Fair is one of the biggest school events here at Magnet. This year did not disappoint having a total of 89 different clubs throughout the school. We definitely did not mention all of the clubs, but we tried to involve a variety of them.
Key Club
Key Club is a renowned club in many schools around the world. The Academic Magnet Chapter is run by president, Street Wilson, and vice-president, Grace Griffin. The main purpose of the club is to participate in community service to help better the community. They have many opportunities through the entirety of the year which will allow you to get all the service hours you need. The first meeting was held on September 12th in the lecture hall, where all of the meetings will be held. The club does have requirements for membership, such as completing a certain number of projects and participating in a club social event. This club offers the opportunity for a graduation cord and is a great asset to have for college applications. The club motto is “Caring — Our way of life.”
Angler Club
The Angler Club was founded last year by Garrison Gray, Dean McCullough, and Max Peters, all seniors this year. They all have an avid passion for fishing, mainly saltwater-based. They all fish for many different kinds of fish very often. Anger Club will hold many events throughout the year including fishing from different locations, which will be announced in their Remind. They too will have community service opportunities, including beach sweeps, downtown cleanups, and other events. They are open to anglers of every level, whether experienced or completely new to the hobby. The founders are very knowledgeable about the activity and are willing to teach people how to get into it, as they have. Their club motto is “Reeling in fun and service” and they are very excited to expand their club. If interested, you can talk to someone in the club.

There will likely be a part two to this article, so if you have any questions or want your club to be featured, contact Street Wilson at wileli9185@ccsdschools.com.
