1. Turkeys have roamed the Americas for 10 million years. Enjoy your prehistoric poultry!
2. The heaviest turkey ever raised was 86 pounds. That’s as much as two forty-three pound dumbbells!
3. Ben Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national bird. He thought eagles had “bad moral character.”
4. Only male turkeys gobble. Probably because females are more polite.
