Harry Potter Returns for a Sequel
J.K. Rowling recently revealed that she has written an “eighth book” to the Harry Potter series in the form of a play called “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” The storyline to this play will take place nineteen years after Harry Potter defeats Voldemort in the Deathly Hallows. Adult Harry is now an overworked, exhausted employee at the Ministry of Magic, husband, and father of three. His children, especially his youngest son Albus, struggle through growing up with their father’s legacy. This play will premier in July of 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London and will be split into two parts. Rowling claims that instead of writing an eighth book, a play is a much better medium for the story. The play will not include information that has already been revealed in the book series, so all new material will be uncovered to Potterheads around the world.
