The Academic Magnet talent show occurred on March 13th, with acts such as piano players, bands, and even an interesting dance performance! Third place went to Junior Emma Fang with her piano performance, second to seniors Shivani Bala and Abby Youmans with their piano/ singing duet of “Going to California” by Led Zeppelin. The magnet-famous Bring the Hype band consisting of consisting of Keveon Ford, Donovan Hamilton, Sammy Persinger, Isa Pineda, and Randy Villariza won first place! They are all juniors and won last year as well. Additionally, the show was Emcee-d by seniors Coltrane Margosian and Jay Daggett who provided comedy relief between the acts. My favorite of their jokes was “Why did the pony need some water? He was a little horse!”
