The twenty-eighth season of The Bachelor is coming to a close. Joey Graziadei is down to four women and is very close to finding his future wife. The last four women are Kelsey A, Daisy, Rachel, and Maria. As we enter into the last few episodes, I want to share my predictions and thoughts on the season as a whole. I am an avid Bachelor Nation watcher, whether that’s the Bachelor, the Bachelorette, or Bachelor in Paradise, I am watching every season. My favorite Bachelorette of all time was Hannah Brown and my favorite Bachelor ever was Matt James, I know this is a very unpopular opinion. Joey is slowly starting to become my #1 though.
During the February 26th episode of The Bachelor, the girls and Joey explored Jasper, Alberta, Canada. The first date was a one-on-one with Daisy. They went on a romantic horseback riding date followed by a dinner. Daisy makes her feelings very clear to Joey, even though she isn’t fully in love with him she knows she feels strongly about him. Because of her honesty, Joey gave Daisy a rose at the end of the date, guaranteeing her spot for the Hometown dates. Joey will be headed to Minnesota for the first time in his life.
The next date was a group date with Jasper, Canada group date Kelsey T, Rachel, Maria, and Jenn. This date was an athletic battle between the 4 women consisting of log rolling, log flipping, axe throwing, and chugging oak milk. Kelsey T ended up winning the group date competition, however, her happiness didn’t last long. During the cocktail ceremony of the group date, Joey decided he did not have enough confidence and reassurance from the women to decide on who would receive the group date rose. This may have been caused by the obvious tension between the women, or because of Marias’ temper tantrum, regardless, all of the women on the group date went home empty-handed.
The last date was a one-on-one with Kesley A, to say this was underwhelming is an understatement. During their date, they did a cold plunge in a lake and ended the day with a romantic date. I think they would be a good couple but I don’t see a connection between them. She did get a rose and is headed to the hometown dates. At the rose ceremony, the two other roses went to Maria and Rachel, which confused me, and Kelsey T and Jenn were sent home. I think Rachel should have gone home and Jenn should have stayed.
The connection between Rachel and Joey is just non-existent on the show. During the hometowns episode, Joey will head to Minnesota with Daisy, Louisiana with Kelsey A, Hawaii with Rachel, and Ontario, Canada with Maria.
The Hometowns episode aired on March 4th, and to say it was a good episode is an understatement. The first date was with Kelsey in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. They spent the day walking around the city and ended the night with meeting her family. Joey met Kelsey’s younger brother Matthew, older sister, Taylor, and her dad, Mark. Her family was really sweet and I want Mark for the next Golden Bachelor. After seeing her family I am starting to slightly like Kelsey A. The second date was Rachel in Rancho Cucamonga, California, but I was expecting her to go to Hawaii. Her family was very traditional and to me, it didn’t seem like they liked Joey at all. I get it is a weird way to meet a potential husband but like don’t be mean about it. I don’t see Joey fitting into Rachel’s family. The third date was with Daisy in her hometown of Becker, Minnesota. This was a top 5 hometown date for me, the Christmas tree farm was so cute and her friends were very sweet. I loved her family and I think Joey will fit right in. ALSO, Daisy dropped the L word and Joey said he feels the same, YAY! The last hometown date was Maria in Ontario, Canada. This was the first time Maria ever brought a guy home to her family. I think Joey was sweet with her family but I could tell during this date he wasn’t so confident in his and Maria’s relationship. At the rose ceremony, Maria pulled Joey aside before he started handing out roses to tell him she was falling in love with him. I completely forgot that there isn’t a cocktail party before the final 4 rose ceremony. The first rose went to Daisy YAY, the second to Kelsey which was no surprise to me, and now the most shocking, Rachel got the last rose. I was expecting her to go home but I guess Maria’s tantrum last week made Joey lose confidence in their relationship.
The next episode will be the Final 3 overnight dates in Tulum, Mexico, and the Women Tell All episode. This season didn’t have much drama except for everyone having a problem with Maria in the beginning. I think we will hear more about this. I also think they will talk about how Lea handled the card that allowed her to steal a one-on-one date from someone. I think Rachel will be heading home and Kelsey A and Daisy will go to meet Joey’s family and either get the final rose or get sent home empty-handed.
Now you may be wondering since we are down to 3 women after Monday night’s episode, Elaina, who do you want to win and who do you want to be the next Bachelorette? Simple answer, I want Daisy to win and I want Maria to be next season’s Bachelorette. I think Daisy and Joey have a great connection and will make it very far in their relationship. Daisy has been my favorite since the first episode and I am hoping it is Daisy who gets the final rose from Joey. Maria has a very big personality and I think she would make a very interesting Bachelorette. She is the media’s favorite for next season’s Bachelorette so if she was open to the idea of it, Bachelor Nation should get on this now. Maria would have a very dramatic Bachelorette season, hopefully in comparison to Hannah Brown’s season from a few years back. Her season is one of the best to ever happen, even though she should have chosen Tyler Cameron in the end. The finale will be in a few weeks to see if my predictions are correct, I hope they are. Who do you want to win the bachelor?
