AMHS Soccer: State Champions on the field, National Champions in the classroom

Every year, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) recognizes high school soccer teams for their success in the classroom, as well as on the field by awarding the NSCAA Team Academic Award. For this past 2014-2015 season, 149 boys teams and 248 girls teams in the U.S. earned the award for having a minimum team grade point average of 3.25 for the entire year.

Both the AMHS Varsity Boys and Girls soccer teams ranked #1 in the nation for the highest team GPA last year. The Boys Team earned the #1 rank with a team GPA of 4.27, the highest of 149 teams, and the Girls Team received this honor with a team GPA of 4.62, the highest of 248 teams.

Out of the total 397 teams that received the award for 2014-2015, only 51 schools earned double honors for both their boys and girls teams. AMHS was not only among these programs, but topped off the list with the highest GPA for both teams.
