Every school year seems to pass quicker than the last and with only 26 weeks left to decide what to do over Spring Break, your AMHS Spanish department has the trip for you. Ms. Merriman and Ms. Oliveira are taking a group of students on an 8-day trip to Spain from March 23^rd to March 30^th.

On Thursday, March 23^rd, students will depart for Barcelona where they will stay for 3 days, touring beautiful open-air plazas such as Plaza España, snapping photos of La Sagrada Familia, walking through the Modernist mosaics of Park Güell, and much more. Expert tour guides will lead the group through this vibrant, art-lover’s dream city.

Then, on Monday, March 27^th, the group will travel to Spain’s capital, Madrid. There, students will explore The Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city and experience Spain’s history at the Plaza Mayor. Also, the group will participate in a flamenco dance lesson and attend a show. Flamenco is a fiery dance of guitar playing, handclapping, and Spanish soul. In addition, Ms. Merriman hopes to take a group to a bullfight!
