Apple Unveils iPhone 6s….yay
“The only thing that’s changed is everything” opened Apple Inc. CEO, Tim Cook at Apple’s special event on Wednesday.
Yesterday we received the greatest piece of technology since the iPhone 6 was announced September 9th of last year…..the iPhone 6s. We were introduced to Apple’s “aerospace-grade aluminum”, “3D touch”, “live images” , an improved internal processor, IOS 9, and a new iPhone upgrading system.
Aerospace-grade aluminum:
Apple says that the iPhone 6s has made great improvements with regards to its strength. This model is made from a grade of aluminum that is used in the aerospace industry, according to Apple. For some reason, Apple decided to focus its time, energy, and money on improving the metal portion of the phone and ignored the needed improvements to the glass screen that is almost destined for a cracked future.
3D Touch:
Now, on the iPhone 6s, one can use the phone’s new pressure-sensitive capabilities to pull of more menus and open up more capabilities with the phone, adding endless capabilities and functionalities. This technology is sooooo ground-breaking. Instead of Samsung’s approach with just having users hold down longer on a certain field to increase menu options, Apple decided to go the extra…foot… and make user press down harder, not longer to achieve similar goals. Ingenious.
Live Images:
This new feature allows user to press down on any given picture and watch it “come to life” right before their eyes. This new technology will record while you have your camera on and will save the video a few seconds before you snap you photo. This way, you can immerse yourself in the moment right before you snapped your image.
Internal Upgrades:
The iPhone now has a stunning 12-megapixel camera (Samsung’s Galaxy s6 has a 16 MP camera). Selfies will now be better than ever with the iPhone 6s’s new and improved 5 MP camera. The screen will also now light up briefly when in low light situations, so that you can actually be seen in the dark. The new iPhone also is home to a new A9 processor, which is somehow 70% faster than last year’s A8 chip. Spoiler alert…next year’s A10 processor will likely be even faster than the A9 chip by an unbelievable margin.
IOS9:
Apple’s new operating system, IOS9, will have an even smarter Siri, a new Low Power mode (which Android phones have had for years), and many more (minor) tweaks that will have consumers watering at the mouth for no apparent reason.
New Pricing:
Now you can get a new iPhone every single year! Just pay $32 a month (for the 16 GB version) and you’ll have the option to get the newest iPhone after 12 months.
ORDER SOON:
The iPhone 6S (and its 5.5-inch twin, the 6S Plus,) will be open for preorder on September 12, with phones arriving in stores around the globe on September 25. In the US, the 16GB version that starts at $200 on contract (the 6S Plus will cost $300 on contract).
Why wouldn’t you want to get such an amazing, innovative, and ground-breaking new phone? Apple has truly done it again. Each year they give us so much! All that we have to do is buy their products and wait to be amazed this time, next year again!
