EAT DIRT
One of the many clubs at AMHS is Eat Dirt. The new presidents of Eat Dirt are Laurel Cross and myself, with Emily Jordan as the treasurer. If you take a trip behind the school, you’ll see our pride and joy: the garden. The garden was started by Lucie Kulze, class of 2013, as part of her senior thesis and it has continued as the Eat Dirt club ever since. We have 4 beds where we grow different fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We are currently in the process of weeding and preparing to plant our seeds. We are planning to plant kale, swiss chard, and basil, just to name a few. Once we harvest, we are hoping to do more ‘food days’ other than our salad days, which we have had in past years. Eat Dirt also has an Instagram where we post photos about the progress of our plants and other things happening in the club.
Be sure to sign up for Eat Dirt at the club fair!
