Welcome back to meeting your class of 2023 seniors! In this issue, the seniors are asked a handful of telling questions including: their dream career, advice to their freshman selves, and their favorite magnet memories.
Emily Pilla
Current favorite song: “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor is probably my number one right now. It’s a classic and sends a good message I suppose. It is actually motivating.
Favorite Magnet memory: My favorite Magnet memory is definitely being crowned HOCO queen and the tailgate beforehand.
Dream career: Obstetrician/Gynecologist, maybe Labor and Delivery Nurse. Recently I have been thinking Embryologist. Anything to help people have children!
Favorite movie: If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with The Interview, Wolf of Wall Street, and Catch Me if You Can. I have probably watched each one 5+ times.I can’t choose just one.
Piece of advice to your freshman self: One bad grade is not as significant as you think.
Lily Phelps
Current favorite song: “Enjoy the Silence” by Depeche Mode.
Favorite Magnet memory: The last day of spirit week this year, because of the pep rally and homecoming game.
Dream career: Rich.
Favorite movie: Grown Ups or Avatar.
Piece of advice to your freshman self: It’s not that big of a deal.

Favorite Magnet memory: Sitting on the benches outside and listening to Will Brown and Griffin Stiegman play guitar during AP Spanish last year.
Dream career: Living off of unemployment fraud or deep sea welder.
Favorite movie: Whiplash.
Piece of advice to your freshman self: Chill out.

Dream career: Working for a nonprofit.

Piece of advice to your freshman self: Please spread out your APs so you’re not taking like half of them senior year.

Favorite Magnet memory: My name being spelled wrong on the basketball roster board in the gym and guitar classes outside.
Dream career: Environmental Scientist.
Favorite movie: The Regular Show Movie.

Favorite Magnet memory: Walker Bauknight and me clutching a doubles match freshman year to beat Bishop England.
Dream career: Entrepreneur.

Piece of advice to your freshman self: Get to know everyone asap. Goes by fast.

Favorite Magnet memory: The Great Gatsby movie day where we all wore pajamas and got to leave early.

Dream career: I do not know at the moment.
