AMHS junior Hayden DiBona recently won the 1600, 800, and 3200 in the State Boys Track Meet. DiBona has been on the track and cross-country teams since his freshman year, though throughout his middle school career he swam. When he began doing triathlons his 8^th grade year, he realized his love for running and joined the AMHS cross-country team. When asked about his growth throughout his running career, DiBona said, “Sports are a great teacher that results come from hard work and time.” In addition, he is able to maintain such high levels of success in conjunction with his heavy academic workload, even claiming that this was his greatest challenge in the sport. Though he is only a junior, DiBona aims to continue running on a college team, and hopefully for the long term.
