Over Spring Break, students traveled to Quito, Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands. They got to shop in Quito, stand on the equator, sit on a beach with seals, snorkel with schools of fish, and zip line through the Amazon. In the Galápagos, they got to go to a turtle area and learn about turtle evolution and how humans have tried to prevent certain turtles from going extinct. They were able to try typical Ecuadorian dishes, such as Guinea Pig. The students enjoyed the trip and it was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
