Each year during the spring season male creativity reaches its yearly peak as young eligible bachelors try to figure out how they should ask a girl out. They are not taking a girl on any date, but to prom. Promposals, as they have been deemed, are the spring struggle for junior and senior high schoolers. They must wrack their brain to find a way to ask their prospective date in a worthy enough way that they will say yes. It is an unnerving event for a young man to try to get psyched enough to ask “her” knowing after all that work he has put in she might say no, or he might get arrested as was the case for a Georgia teen. The “proma” that comes with this time of year causes stress for the females as they try to patiently wait to be promposed to. When a senior girl was asked what she thought of being asked she exclaimed, “It’s the not knowing that is the worst, you’re waiting at every turn and in the end you might not even get asked.” Many ladies can share in their sentiment and feel each others’ pain as they have to find “the dress” and then pay for such an extravagant gown. The males have little sympathy over this matter as they too have expenses for the night paying for tuxes, tickets, rides, meals, and sometimes a prom house. If you are not going to prom this year better get to thinking about your promposals and your funds.
