Everything you need to know about Netflix’s ‘Outer Banks’
If you have yet to stumble upon the new hit teen drama ‘Outer Banks’ on Netflix – about teens on North Carolina’s Outer Banks in the fictional town of Kildare who go on a treasure hunt for $400 million in gold whilst overcoming personal battles – you are in for a ride. As I can personally say that I binge-watched the new 10-episode Netflix series Outer Banks in around 12 hours, it is safe to say that the show is absolutely worth the watch, not that you’re being too picky anyway with the ample amount of time on your hands. Regardless of the production’s film location, the plot and characters warrant themselves for an impressive show, but I’d be lying if I said that the show being filmed right here in Charleston didn’t amp up my interest a few notches. Not to mention that one of our very own Raptors, Stella Reimer, was able to be part of the production. You can catch her on Episode 1 (24:37 if you really wanna see her) talking to one of the main characters, Pope, about the portrayal of death in Hollywood. We decided to see what Stella had to say about working on the show and if it was really as good behind-the-scenes as it is on camera, and she said “It was probably the best experience of my life. The cast are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet and same with the crew. It inspired me to pursue bigger things in the entertainment industry and to this day I still keep in contact with some of the cast and honestly I recommend everyone try to be an extra because it’s such an amazing experience and so so worth the sleepless nights!” Yeah, we‘re really jealous she got to see John B and then rest of the cast in person. So if you’re looking for a new, dramatic TV show to get invested in (we know you are), and would like to see shots in it from all over your hometown, watch Outer Banks and let us know how you feel.
