Families Helping Families

It’s that time of year again—time for Families Helping Families. Families Helping Families is a service project that the Magnet Student Council sponsors every holiday season. Every grade level at Magnet is assigned a family and every Focus class in that grade is responsible for bringing gifts for a member of the family. This is a great way to spread holiday cheer to those who are less fortunate in our community. Some Focuses collect money and then have one student go and shop for the gifts, whereas other focuses make each individual responsible for bringing a gift. This year, I volunteered to go shopping for my focus. It was so much fun to buy gifts for someone else and it felt great to know that we would be able to make someone’s holiday a little happier. If you didn’t this year, then I highly recommend getting involved with Families Helping Families in any way you can in the future!
