Will Charleston Get Snow?
Attention raptors—it’s that time of year again. Time to pull out last year’s favorite pair of fuzzy socks, your AMHS sweatshirt, and yes, even your long underwear. This week, a cold-front has swept over the 843. This morning, as I drove to school, my windshield fogged due to the extreme difference between the temperature inside and outside of my car— something highly unusual in Charleston’s tropical climate. This time last week, my car’s thermometer read 62 degrees. Today, it was the opposite—a chilling 26.
While the forecast for the rest of the week predicts mostly sunny weather, the temperature will remain low. However, the chance of rain during these low temperatures is 0%. This weekend, the temperature will jump to 72 degrees, with a 100% chance of rain and 22 mph winds. While Charleston is getting colder, it looks like there is no chance of snow for now.
