The Academic Magnet boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams captured the AA state titles this past Saturday. Boys’ XC finished first for the second consecutive year with Hayden DiBona placing first and Trace Hall in second. Both boys received all-state honors, along with Dylan Robinson and Kyle McGue, who finished fifth and eighth, respectively. Kristin Fairey, Megan Kolbe, and Carly Hall received all state honors and led their team to Magnet’s first girls’ XC championship. Kristin finished third, Megan placed eighth, and Carly came in eleventh. Coach Hooffstetter is proud of her team’s effort and knows that the win will boost Magnet’s XC program.
