Ranking of the Magic Kingdom Attractions

The best Disney park.

Disney World: the epitome of youth imagination and potentially the only good thing in Florida. Home to an average of fifty two million visitors each year, Disney World in Orlando is the most popular vacation resort in the entire world. Within Walt Disney World, there are four individual theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. Based on my five visits to the theme park over the years, I have concluded that Magic Kingdom is the best of the four. Below is a ranking of the top 10 rides at the park, as well as the worst 5.

Magic Kingdom is a clear winner, primarily because of the nostalgia it elicits within its visitors. Home to iconic rides such as Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and the Haunted Mansion, Magic Kingdom serves as the gemstone of Walt Disney World. Almost every ride in the park is based upon a popular Disney/Pixar movie, which allows for even adults to reminisce about their childhood. Magic Kingdom is divided into 4 lands, each with its own theme: Fantasyland, Frontierland, Tomorrowland, and Adventureland. In each of the 4 designated areas, Disney creates a vibe that makes you feel fully immersed in the magic because of the attractions, music, food, and decorations within it. Another component that places Magic Kingdom at the top is the famous Cinderella Castle. This castle is every little girl’s dream, and for a whopping $12,000, you and your family can even lodge there for a night. Long lines to meet the Disney Princesses can be found at the castle during the day, however, the real prize is at night- the spectacular “Happily Ever After” firework show which definitely lives up to the hype. Unlike the other parks, Magic Kingdom’s endless amount of rides and shows make it necessary to devote an entire day there.
