Five Things to Doodle in Class

Cartoon Drawings

Cartoon Drawings

You’re sitting in class and you have that strong urge to create a master piece. However, you have no artistic ability. Here are five simple things you can draw to decorate your plain study guide.

1: A Pig

This is one of the more challenging drawings as the proportions of the head and body are difficult to master. You want it to have a bigger head than it does in real life, but you do not want it to look like a different animal. Make sure the eyes are big so the pig looks cute 🙂

2: An Angry Birds Character

This character is very simple to draw. Just a big circle and a couple geometric shapes sticking off the sides with big rectangular eyebrows over the circles for eyes and triangles for a mouth. Not only will this drawing bring you back to when you were little, slingshotting green pigs on your IPad, but the drawing is relatively simple, and it will boost your drawing confidence.

3. A Baby Elephant

Getting the proportions correct can prove to be challenging, but with much practice it can really add some intricacy to your paper. I recommend to start with the left ear to gage how big the head will be. Then draw the outline of the face before you move onto the trunk. This gives you an idea of where the body should start. Remember to add a left eyebrow contrary to what I did…

4: Winnie the Pooh

A simple straight line is the base of Winnie and then some curves and a honey jar is all there is to it. His head is bigger than you would think. While he may look dead, Winnie is really just resting, peaceful with his jar of honey. I think having him on the top of your paper can help remind you to chillax.

5: A dinosaur

Just one circle for the head, one and a bunch of open ended ovals connected to this oval for the dinosaur. Maybe add an egg next to him for an extra touch. This feisty but cute creature can scare all the bad grades away from other papers.

A bonus one!!!

Jumping guy on a trampoline

No paper necessary for this one! All you need is a hand and a pen.

If you are in more of an adventurous mood, draw a stick figure a little above a crease on your hand. Then draw a trampoline touching the crease. Bend your hand and watch your new friend jump around.

While these creative features are fun, you may miss some notes drawing them…  Think of them as your study buddies instead of distractors!!
