Kids have always had weird ways of saying things. However, modern day slang has taken a turn for the worse with the development of technology– specifically Emojis.

These cute little digital pictures may seem like a fun way to spice up your text messages, but be WARNED; they aren’t quite as innocent as your think. Thankfully, I’m here to help you decode the vulgar messages people are trying to send you through various emoji combinations.

🍑 – This is not a normal peach. This is a symbol of a rear end. If someone sends you a message like “🍑 ?” please be aware they are NOT asking to share the juicy fruit with you.

🐸☕️ – This frog and coffee combination are not two cute innocent symbols; this means someone has suspicious, sassy intentions. Proceed carefully.

🔌 – this PLUG is NOT for accessing electricity — more so, this plug is someone who sells drugs. If someone hits you up for a  “🔌”, please be careful how you respond.

🍆 – Not a normal vegetable. This eggplant actually represents a male appendage.

🍁 – This maple leaf may appear to be the national plant of Canada, but in reality this emoji actually finds its home closer to Colorado. Beware of people offering to sell you this leaf because it actually represents marijuana, an illegal drug made from the dried leaves of a female hemp plant.

🐍 – This snake is not your pet… If someone sends you this or calls you a snake, it means they think you are someone who cannot be trusted and will stab them in the back. It is definitely not a compliment to say the least.

🔥 – CAUTION! Despite its smoky appearance, this emoji certainly does NOT mean literal FIRE. If you send this to someone, they will assume you are calling them physically attractive AKA “hot”.

💨 – This little puff of air does not represent a windy day; if someone sends you this it more likely a signal they intend to smoke something…

😂 – THIS IS NOT SOMEBODY SOBBING HYSTERICALLY. This little man with tears running out of his eyes is a laughing! However, this emoji is quite honestly outdated and I highly recommend not using it.
