A Day in the Life of Ms. Novinger

Beloved, beautiful Ms. Novinger… where would our Magnet community be without her? We’re here to give you the insight into her everyday life that makes this woman so astounding.

Ms. Novinger has a very specific schedule which she abides by every single day. Her sleep schedule could be described as “unconventional” by any sane person, but it’s what enables Ms. Novinger to be the most productive, and it is what makes her so unique.

Ms. Novinger wakes up every morning at “4:00 a.m., just gettin’ started… for her birthday, threw her a surprise party”- 2 Chainz. In order to be the most productive, she says “good morning” to her animals and goes downstairs to make herself a cup of coffee. She then leaves her house at 5:30 a.m. to get to school at 6:00 a.m. You may be surprised at this amount of extra time before school starts every morning, but when asked what she does with this time, she confidently responded, “I wander the halls.” If you have ever had Ms. Novinger, you have probably noticed that the desks are almost always in a different position than the were the day before. This is because after she has completed her daily wandering through the halls, she begins her daily rearranging of the desks. Every day, she teaches her favorite class, film and fiction, to sophomores and seniors during periods 2A and 4B. Some of Ms. Novinger’s daily struggles include saying no to greedy mint-takers and printers, as well as keeping her loving students from entering her classroom at any random point throughout her busy day. For lunch, you’ll typically see Ms. Novinger eating a salad from the cafeteria lunch line. These salads are usually around $2.00, but she enjoys adding double meat, double cheese, double vegetables, and double dressing, which makes the grand total for the salad a little under $9.00. She also usually enjoys munching on Honey Nut Cheerios in between salad meals, or as her full day’s nutrition. She typically leaves the school at around 4:00p.m. in order to go home quickly enough to watch the news, get angry about the news, and play with her animals in order to calm down after watching the news. At approximately 8:30 p.m., or when Jeopardy ends, Ms. Novinger proceeds to her comfy bed, all so that she can wake up again at 4:00a.m., just gettin’ started, the next day.
