Fall Events in Charleston

Ever feel like you have nothing to do? Do your weekends consist of only Netflix? Well don’t worry, because this fall there are countless events and activities occurring. With Halloween just around the corner, there are many events Charleston to get in the fall spirit. So grab your sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes and head out to all these fun fall events.

Fright Night

Halloween is only a few weeks away, and Charleston is getting spooky… Although Fright Night did not occur last year, it is in full swing for this Halloween season. Everyday from September to October, Fright Night will open at 7:15pm and run until 10:00pm, on the weekdays, and until 12:00am on the weekends. This year, if you’re brave enough, you can venture through the cemetery of lost souls, the crypt, or the gateway. And if you’re feeling a little more daring, you can go on the Wicked Woods Haunted Hayride… at your own risk.

The Give Me Shelter Color- 5k

Running is not always fun, but add a little color and you will forget you’re even exercising. On Saturday, October 21 the Give Me Shelter organization will be hosting a 5K color run to raise money for their foundation. The race takes place in Moncks Corner and starts at 9:00am. For 3.1 miles the race course will take you through multiple stations that will be spraying colors into the crowd, so make sure you wear clothes you don’t mind getting colorful. After you cross the finish line, a festival with plenty of food and music will be waiting for you.

Susan G. Komen Lowcountry Race for the Cure

Every year, hundreds of people flock to Daniel Island to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The 5k race raises money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, while celebrating breast cancer survivors and honoring those who lost their lives to the disease. Although the majority of people at the event run in the race, spectators are welcome to cheer on runners and participate events following the run. Join the fight to end cancer and attend the Race for the Cure on October 21.

Fall Farmers Market

Every Sunday, the Charleston Farmers Market hosts countless local farmers and artists in Marion Square from 8am until 2pm. There are vendors selling everything from fresh vegetables to paintings and Jewelry. Make sure to head out the the market before it ends this November.
